A little drawing of Barnabas with his previous outfit design, and his previous familiar, Mór (a raven). In the originals sketches he wore this cloak over his doublet-inspired robe, and he had a raven he had raised since the egg, who low-key reminded him of himself because both of them had a scar in their chest and both of had been a little ostracised because of their albinism (though there are heinous myths of raven mothers cannibalising their albino nestlings, that is an untruth; though, once grownups, they tend to be more under the orders of the other ravens).

Now, he wears black with black and all shades of black, and still wears a morning ribbon upon his sleeve, which has made his coworkers in St. Bartholomew’s Hospital think that he is secretly a grief-stricken widower that still weeps in secret the premature demise of his wife —also, he looks older than his 25-26 years, appearing in his early thirties because even his resting face has a frown hahahaha—, though that isn’t the truth. And regarding the matter of his familiar, in the current sketches of The Raven Volumes he has no raven (*booooooo*), and he had a cat, a black cat (taken from the streets by Lawrance) named Alfie. And the nearest thing he has that resembles a magical animal it’s the Doomsayer, but today we ain’t talking about that dude ;D
