Description Taken on the South Fork Payette, in Idaho. This is in the last rapid of the run, Slalom. I've been told the hole they just hit is called "Seymour Hole", as in: see more swimmers, see more carnage, see more rafts flip....

This raft was able to salvage the run with some effective high-siding, and made it past the hole. You can't see it too well in this photo, but the real meat of the hole is to the bottom of the photo. If they'd gotten sucked in, there would have been a horrible beatdown. The flow was about 4000cfs, which is very high for this run.
