OK... what i did here was just took a couple of old drawings i had nothing else to do with and put them together to make this i-face... the white area is where all the main text and stuff will be hanging out... and to the left in that open grey area i have a drop down menu and some other little things... like my mailing list sign up thing... how about you all just go check it out... you'll get to see it work better...[link]

Looks sweet.. nice n bold. I think it could use a bit of improvement tho.. it looks great, but it doesn't look REALLY great
Just a few little suggestions if you're interested..
1. Don't make the disclaimer at the bottom 100% width.. should be the same width as the interface
2. Put the menu/guestbook/mailing list behind another white-with-black-outline box.. or extend the main interface to include it. Looks too detatched from the rest.
3. Make the menu more interesting? I actually think you should write out each link somehow, rather than the drop-down menu as you have it.
4. Add some styles to the textbox & button. You've done everything else (scrollbars, etc).. make em match up
