Description

After several mishaps in writing a proper, decent tale of Doctor Who, and many disappointments, I finally managed to get it right by creating a crossover that I've been thinking about for a long while. The story is called "In the Cold" featuring my version of the Doctor based on British actress Rebecca Hall who is also pictured holding a sonic screwdriver.
This serves as the third and final chapter of the "Thing" trilogy starting with the Thing prequel in 2011 and the John Carpenter's version from 1982. My Doctor Who/Thing crossover starts where the previous movie left off. Most of it is set on the Japanese whaling ship the Takai Mori which is translated to "High Fortress." You may recognize the other characters in the pic. It works very well as an action/horror tale very similar to the gothic period in the Tom Baker days. I toned down the tale to more Hammer Horror gore along with cutting down some of the sweary bits, but the end result is a very concise attempt in Lovecraftian horror. Here is a cover I did for the crossover tale being a slight variation of it.
