Here is the technique that I like to use for drawing arms. Start with primitive forms and then, think about the rhythm and flow to the anatomy. It makes it feel a lot more natural in my opinion.I hope you find this to be useful and good luck with your art!

Very nice little tutorial, it’s funny how simple yet simultaneously complex the human body is-I’ve been giving another stab at anatomy lately, I have been able to fake it for a while because I have a decent ability to capture believable gestures, but I’m trying to get a better grip at defining my drawings with shadow more than line, and there’s just no way to do that confidently without knowing the planes of the body and it’s functions.
