Gijinka of China's Mars orbiter! All the instruments here are as 'accurate' to the real deal as I could muster.

Tianwen-1 (天文一号 in Chinese) was launched from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in 2020, It consisted of an orbiter spacecraft with a rover onboard. The orbiter is known for having multiple disposable cameras on board that it uses to take photos of itself, these images don't have much scientific purpose and mainly serve to boost PR. So you can imaging he's quite the selfie fan.

I drew influence from ancient Chinese clothing for this design as somewhat of an indirect nod to Qu Yuan (the guy who wrote the poem the probe was named after). Originally, I wanted to make him look identical to Qu Yuan, but giving him a 乌纱帽 (the hat he's wearing here) was too fun of an idea to pass up since I could colour it to look like a miniature of the probe itself, even if ended up referencing an outfit that only came into existence hundreds of years after Qu Yuan's death.
