In my Art & Design course, we also each got the art project assignment (First project robmancartoons.deviantart.com/… ) of making a triptych-painting. A painting that is divided into three sections/panels that are hinged together or displayed openly on their own but next to each other. The painting should be based on a symbol, story, legend, or fantasy etc.

So I made one based on the genie stories in the One Thousand and One night. The first section of the painting shows the genie in the lamp part of Aladdin. The lamp continues into the second section which features the good genie-ring that saves Aladdin and the different objects of the evil wizard. The magic of the ring then transitions the lamp and roof into a bottle and a fishnet in the third section, a section that illustrates the evil genie in a bottle that gets fished up by a fishnet in an other genie story. We also had 2 weeks for doing our paintings. Long days aswell.
