Similar to Rukh, the Noghri bodyguard of Thrawn, Fayl hired a bodyguard of his own in the form of the Devaronian Gurc Vact, even with Thalia and Vean already assigned to protect him. He volunteered for the job and was heavily augmented to fit Fayl's requirements. While he already had a cybernetic right eye, he was required to have cybernetic limbs as well. The augmentations also enhanced his muscle mass and height, making him into a brutish enforcer. His armor, while not made of Cortosis like Fayl's, was rather durable and could take plenty of damage. Vact carries a blaster pistol and a knife with him at all times, and thanks to his augmentations, he has heightened reflexes. He has a jetpack, albeit not of the same model as his boss.
