Chapter 7: A Knight of Shadows

(A/N I guess you could say this was going to be one of the first holiday Centric chapters this being the first of two that happens on Halloween, this is another chapter that would involve the perspective shift between Bruce and Diana )

The suits/armor of the JL founders
1. Batman the batsuit he is wearing is based on the armor he wore in the Arkham Knight.
2. Wonder woman her armor is based on the WW Odyssey armor with all the gold replaced with silver of her new 52 armor.
3. green lantern/John stewart his Green Lantern attire is based on his Injustice Gods Among Us attire from the game/comic series.
4. Superman he's wearing his new 52 armor.
5. Martian Manhunter/J'onn J'onzz is wearing his uniform that he wears in the young justice cartoon/mid-2000s comic.
6. The Flash is wearing his arrowverse suit with some elements from the comics that being he can hide the suit in a ring.
7. Hawkgirl She's wearing the armor that she wears in the arrowverse.

Year 7: age 24-25
October 31st

Bruce P.O.V

After the mess with Felix Faust last month, I decided to take a break and Nightwing, red robin, and Batgirl in charge of Gotham, I traveled to the United Kingdom, for five day vacation. Everything was fine until my final night there, because my phone's batwave went off which prompted me to suit up and investigate. I made my way to the antiquarian which was where the alarm had been tripped, I watched as a seemingly elderly man was wheeled away from the shop and Placed into to an ambulance. Once the coast was clear I opened the skylight.
I dropped down to the ground floor and noted the mess up book strewn across the floor, I'm glad Alfred wasn't here he'd be appalled by mess of rare books. I took out a flashlight for my utility belt in order better survey what happened that's when I noticed a book on the counter that had a page torn out of it so I walked over to get a closer look, quickly putting the flashlight back in my utility belt I ended up reading out loud the header on the previous page “The Philosopher's Stone” That's when I heard the voice of an old friend that I haven't seen since the mess with Klarion a year ago.
“According to legend, It was a gem from the hilt Excalibur and the true Source the sword fabled power” I turned to face him and proceeded to greet him “ Hello Jason, I assume you're not here to browse?” Jason was quite quick to reveal why he was here “ I'm a friend of the owner.” I raised an eyebrow under my cowl slightly confused as I asked “you mean that old man.” Jason and responded quite bluntly “He's 32 years old.” which can only mean one thing “magic I hate Magic” Jason blood then went on to explain “He's also an expert on Arthurian lore.”
At this point I had two bite “All right Jason what's this all about?” He responded by simply starting with a name “Morgan Le Fay, when Camelot fell Merlin was able to hide the Philosopher's Stone from her, now she's returned to track it down again” I almost seid impossible but then I remembered I'm working with a Amazonian demigoddess, so at this point I would say anything's possible As I responded “So why exactly does she want the jem?”
Jason answered with a grim tone to his voice “ with that she could resurrect Camelot, and instill her son Mordred on the throne.”

An forty five Minutes later in a castle in the English Countryside

After Jason and I arrived at the Castle, We then proceeded to the room that displayed several suits of armor, As we walked in I took out my flashlight who started shiny at around the room. Once we reach the stone chest? At the end of the room I put away my flashlight and then we worked together to remove the cover, Jason and put his hand at the bottom of the empty container feeling around suddenly his hand glowed which prompted him to speak “She's been here but she doesn't have a stone yet”
I then asked a really dumb question “How can you be sure?” but before I can get an answer the doors we had come in through slam shut and the weapons that were on display suddenly start to glow And flew off the pillars that they've been setup on, And then shot directly at us. I quickly shoved Jason out of the way shouting “Get down!” “I have to admit It's moments like this I really wish I had taken Giovanni Zatara up on his offer to learn actual magic from him, and not just the skill of escape artist” I thought to myself as I dove forward out of the way.
I landed in front of one of the suits of armor I turned around and unsheathed a sword from its Scabbard and shouted to Jason blood “Jason the door!” As he ran to the door I use the sword that I had Ron to deflect the flying blades whacking them to the ground A few seconds later Jason shouted “ it's sealed shut” I jump backwards to avoid an axe up close to one of the suits of armor I could hear it starting to move so I jump forward noting that other suits of armor was starting to Glow coming to life as well. I kicked one to the ground and block the other sword with the sword I was wielding I destroyed one of the suits of armor helmets, I pulled out my grapple gun and used to tie up the suit of armor that I've been dueling.
I turned around and no two suits of armor closing in on Jason so I acted quick jumping Direct on one of the suits of armor is back's sending it falling to the ground, I didn't have to quickly Dodge the other suit of armor as it slashed its axe down, which I quickly avoided but it cut the other suit of armor in half, As I landed back on the ground I grab the set suit of armor by its helmet and sent it flying into two other suits now we're making their way over towards us.
But we're still outnumbered six to two in fact As I charged forward Jason shouted “ there are too many of them!” I missed you passed to the suits of armor but then I slashed the sword I was wielding and got it lodged in the back of the third suit of armor And then punched me and sending me flying into a pillar.
As I was trying to get back to my feet Jason suddenly started yelling “Gone Gone the form of man rise the demon Etrigan!” I will admit I was wondering how long it would be before Jason blood would be forced to become Etrigan. I watched as Etrigan Ripped one of the suits of armor in half and then proceeded to incinerate three more, The fourth one tried to bring it to ask down on me what hit the pillar instead I had to quickly dodge out of the way because Etrigan used his fire to incinerate it.
As I surveyed the damage I made sure to scold Etrigan Almost incinerating me as along with the suit of armor “Etrigan You could have warned me you were going to use Hellfire.” Of course he wasn't paying too much attention to what I just said as he spoke “That which will pay for this I will Feast on her cold heart.”
It was then I realized the two of us wouldn't be able to handle this alone so I contacted the watchtower requesting back-up from the league members who were on monitor Duty. As we waited for them to arrive, I took note of the damages As well as the destroyed suits armor that I was going to have to write out check for to replace.

An thrity five minutes later

When Diana, J’onn and the Flash I gave him a quick overview of the situation and advise that we take a moment to ask Etrigan but further details about Morgan Le Fay. Diana of course was the one to ask Etrigan the first question “You say you've been trailing Le Fay for centuries?” Etrigan was quick to answer her question “In an unending game of cat-and-mouse. For the past generation she is hidden from me But I'll never rest until her soul burns in the eternal pit” Flash made a comment that was quite disrespectful “And I thought bats was creepy.” Which caused Etrigan to start glaring at him and let out a growl.
Even though I knew powerful magic was likely at play. I decide to ask Etrigan any way “How exactly has she alluded you for so long.” Etrigan quickly answered my question “The witch has an amulet that senses when I'm drawing near” Flash then made a joke “With that stench who needs an amulet?” this of course ticked off Etrigan who grabbed Flash and tell him above his head shouting “What!” I think flash realize he should stop pissing off the literal demon from hell as sheepishly responded with “Nothing.”
J’onn then came forward to make a suggestion “Perhaps you should consider another approach.” Etrigan responded by throwing flash to the ground before speaking to J’onn “And what do you suggest?” J’onn was quick to answer “I could try to locate her telepathically.” it was then that J’onn closed his eyes when he opened them again they were glowing. A few seconds later he suddenly screamed in pain collapsing flat on his face. we rushed over I called out his name in shock “J’onn!”
We got him on board the javelin Etrigan then muttered something about the witch casting spell on J’onn mind suddenly his I started glowing as he entered J’onn's mind to dispel what Morgan had done to him. two minutes later J’onn jolted awake with flash making another bad joke “We thought we had lost you buddy.” J’onn looked at his reflection in the javelin's window with a sad expression on his face speaking as he got up “Then it was all an illusion.” walking to the front of the javelin needing to be alone for the moment.
“Perceptive isn't he?” Etrigan commented which cost flash to have a knee-jerk reaction with his response “layoff gruesome.” Diana then walked over to check on J’onn putting her hand on his shoulder while asking “J’onn are you all right?” He then turned to her and answered “yes of course I'll be fine.” I then proceeded to ask J’onn the important question “Did you manage to locate Le Fay?” He shook his head as he answered “No, But I did send she hasn't found the stone yet.” Diana then interjected “Thank Hera for that.” Afterwards J’onn continued “before she lashed out at me, I heard the words archaeologist and Castle”
“Hmm It's a start.” I responded, then I quickly activated my gauntlets link to the batcomputer the connection was slightly slowed being in Europe after all, once I established a connection I cross referenced the castle and discovered it had been rediscovery by archaeologists at some point after World War II. Their names being Henry Moss and Harv Hickman. I then told everyone to strap in so I could fly us to a location where would be easier to split up into two teams
While enroute Etrigan started whispering to me “Don't trust the martian he's been tainted by that witch” I quickly whispered back “let us worry about that.” Etrigan Wasn't pleased with my answer as he went on to say “He'd me she will tap into your deepest desires and then dingle them like a carrot in front of your nose. She will give you everything you dream of, But only until she gets what she wants” I then said something that caught and Etrigan off guard “The voice of experience.” The demon growled and then said “Don't say I didn't warn you”
I opened the access hatch and informed Diana and Flash that they were to head to Harv Hickman's manor. While J’onn, Etrigan and I would resume our flight to Durham University to speak with Henry Moss.
thrity minutes later
Once we arrived at the Durham University I landed the javelin and we quickly slipped inside Henry Moss, however we didn't get a chance to close the double doors leading to the outside. When Henry entered the room discovering the doors were wide open he went over to his desk and pulled out a revolver and then called out “whoever you are show yourself” of course Etrigan was the one to oblige, Quickly slapping the revolver out of his hand and terrifying the poor man as he spoke “Henry Moss” He then grabbed his chest and collapsed.
this prompted J’onn and I to rush out from our hiding spots. I gave Etrigan a bat glare as I spoke “What the heck did you do.” The last thing we needed was a respected Professor dropping dead from Terror. J’onn Quickly assessed professor Moss before speaking “he's in shock he will recover.” Etrigan Chose then to State the obvious “Why bother with him he'll pass on in a few years” At this point I was really tempted to ask him to switch back to being Jason blood Because at this point I was getting really fed up with Etrigan antics.
J’onn And place his hand on Henry Moss head and uses telepathy to probe his mind and quickly informed us what he had found “ He has no knowledge of the Stone the Relic is not here.” Etrigan Immediately slap the lamp on Professor Moss desk as he spoke “But if Moss doesn't have it then maybe Hickman does.”
But since it was very likely Morgan Le Fay. Was going to follow the same lead that we had, So I figured our best course of action would be to lay a trap Which was fairly simple J’onn would take on the form of Henry Moss and act as bait while, Etrigan and I would observe from a vantage point. While I was observing through my binoculars I reminded Etrigan the plan. “Le Fay, nay not know Moss doesn't have the stone. If she comes we'll be waiting.”
Etrigan how ever brought up the conversation that we had in the javelin “I still don't trust that Martian, He's damaged goods” At this point I was really fed up with Etrigan’s Seemingly one track mind so I growled out “ I trust J’onn with my life.” of course the demon responded with a low blow “I'll send flowers” which I figured It was Etrigan’s way of saying your funeral.
It was then that Morgan Le Fay and her son Mordred appeared, Etrigan and I lept into action however by the time we got inside Moss's office, Morgan have used her magic on J’onn causing him to shift from his disguise into is Martian Manhunter form,and fall to his hands and knees. Etrigan crashed through the window shattering it while I glided in behind him. As soon as we landed Morgan Fired a blast of magic from her hands that we both have to dodge out of the way of, Etrigan Fired Magic from his own hands shouting “Burn witch!” Which she easily blocked with some sort of Shield spell As she taunted the demon “Still so bitter my love.” Suddenly reflecting the magical energy that her shielded absorbed at Etrigan sending him flying.
I took out a batarang in through it at Le Fay power screed another magical Shield which destroyed my batarang on contact. Etrigan and J’onn got to there feet. However something caused John to lose his composure which in turn distracted me, Le Fay used it as an opening to unleash a Energy plans for hand which nailed me in the chest Which sent me flying into Etrigan As we got shot through the wall.
I blacked out for a few seconds when I came to and Etrigan was whaling on J’onn I quickly rushed over and caught his rist saying “No leave him alone...” It was then that I passed out

Year 1: age 23-24
Diana P.O.V
As I flew down to Harv Hickman's Manor. We noticed that there was a line of people dressed in costumes waiting to get in. “I should probably warn you the type of magazines are Harv Hickman published.” Flash seid out of the blue “Why is that?” I asked he gave me a look that screamed please don't slap me for what I'm about to say as he answered “The type of magazine Hickman published, are along the same lines, of a Playboy magazine though his had far more explicit sexual content.” I raised an eyebrow and asked “how exactly do you know this.” he sighed and then said “When I was getting my major in forensics, one of my dorm mates showed me a copy of the magazine. Besides I'm a married man last thing I want to do is read something that would most definitely piss my wife off.”
I decided to change the topic and ask“So why is everyone dressed up in costumes.” Flash took a moment to think before responding “If I had to guess it's probably some kind of halloween bash. Which reminds me hopefully this mission doesn't take too long because I promised my wife I'd be back in time to take one of our nephews trick or treating.” I gave an understanding node then said “Alright let's find mr. Hickman” We then proceed to cut our way to the front of the line, stopping front of the bouncer at the top of the steps.
“Are you on the list?” the bouncer asked keeping a neutral expression on my face as I answered “This is an emergency where the Justice League.” The bouncer just chuckled and said “Oh really then who are they?” which causing flash and I to turn around and realize there were two party guests dressed as Batman and Superman. At that point I lost my temper so I grabbed the bouncer and threw him into a bush. which caused the people waiting in line to cheer, The bouncer popped his head out of the bush and brought his finger to his ear piece. That's when three guys dressed in a tux and glass sunglasses came running.
“You know this is going to get messy.” flash pointed out. That's one of voice called out “Wait?” That's when a small man with a very creepy grin walked out from behind the security guards the way he was looking me as he circled around me made my skin crawl after finishing his rotation he spoke “How could I deny such a goddess.” He then proceeded to kiss my hand and said “Come in.” So the Flash and I followed him inside.
Harv Hickman then gave us a guided tour through his Manor he listed off the amenities his home has “My manor has a home theater, personal gym, and a game room.” As the three of us came to a stop in front of a statue Mr. Hickman started boasting to us about “This is one of my prized possessions a genuine Greek statue..” I suddenly blurted out “It's Roman.” this cost mr. Hickman to stop and look at me in confusion urdering out “Excuse me” so I took the opportunity to explain the difference “this statue is a Roman copy, possibly Atlantean.” Mr. Hickman then asked “How would you know that?” before I could respond flash answered “Trust her on this one, originals probably on themyscira.”
with that conversation finished we continued on our tour. There was suddenly a beeping sound coming from under Flash's suit. he gave me an apologetic look before saying “I going to find a vacant room, so I can answer this uninterrupted.” in the moment he was gone in a blink of an eye. This of course left me alone with mr. Hickman and he put his left arm around my back and on my shoulder saying “I have the power to jump start your career babe, But I'm guessing you already knew that?”
I quickly realized Mr. Hickman must not have seen perform that feat of strength or I tossed his bouncer into a bush I bet he thinks I'm some dumb broad looking to start her modeling career. But I also realized I could use what he was assuming to my advantage As I answered his question “And what is the source of your power, Some kind of Crystal or stone?”
mr. Hickman gave me that creepy smile again as he responded “How'd you guess?” I continue to play along as I answered “I'd love to see your stone mr. Hickman.” his next response came out bit stuttered “ please call me Harv.” mr. Hickman proceeded to lead me to a room on the second floor that had double doors, when he opened them. I quickly realized he had taken me to his master bedroom.
Mr. Hickman then walked over to his bed what you got on and crawl towards the headboard which had a stone encased in glass on it as he explained “So while I was working on the excavation of the castle I found this. It changed my life, soon I had everything I had ever dreamed of Cars, cash, girls.” At this point I decided to drop the act and get serious with the question I was about to ask “So let me get this straight you get your hands on the one of the most powerful magical objects in the world. And yet all you wished for was money in women” He gave me his creepy smile again as he answered “what else is there”
Suddenly there was a loud boom, which prompted me to turn around raising my arms up in preparation for a fight As a roaring wind ripped the doors that led to the master bedrooms balcony off their hinges, I got pushed into the wall while the winds picked up mr. Hickman and I managed to catch him before you fell to the ground. That's when Morgan Le Fay and her son Mordred flew into the room.
She then looked at the master bedroom doors and use magic to slam them shut, Le Fay started speaking in her calm yet cold voice “At last my quest the stone is mine” I tossed mr. Hickman away shouting “Not yet!” Quickly flying over the bed and grabbing the Stone from its special spot on the headboard. Le Fay was quick to react throwing magical energy blast at me that I was quick to dodge.
Admittedly a lot of the art in the room got caught in the crossfire That's what mr. Hickman should have kept his mouth shut as he shouted “My Neiman!” This prompted Le Fay to turn her attention to him hitting him with a blast of magic from our eyes. which transformed mr. Heckman into a giant worm.
That at the behest of the Le Fay The giant worm slammed into me sending us both through the wall, I ended up Landing in the Next Room the worm flying over me proceeding through the next wall, I noticed that the two women put a pin in the room had terrified looks on their faces that's when The Flash run an into the room and asked “Are you okay?” I let out a groan as I answered “ Morgan Le Fay is here.” He responded quickly “I kind of gathered that. I take it the giant worm is?” I quickly answer this question “yeah the giant worm is mr. Hickman.” We could hear screaming down the hall which prompted flash to run off to help.
It took me about twenty seconds seconds to catch up, Arriving in time to see flash get knocked To The Ground by the giant worm after barely saving a woman who is dressed like an anthro cat. I flew in and punched the worm apologizing “sorry Harv” I then proceeded to beat the giant worm down I took out my lasso and got a tight around it. However That's when Morgan Le Fay arrived and used her magic to try to get the stone away from me. I held onto it as long as I could Le Fay almost got her hands on it When she was suddenly hit by a fire blastthat sent her flying through a wall.
I turned to look to see where the blast of had come from to my surprise I saw the demon Etrigan hands glowing as he spoke “Why are you still here you have the stone run!” I glared at the demon in retorted “I never run away from a battle.” The demon countered “Get the stone is far away from Le Fay you can, I'll handle the witch.” Flash quickly joined in “Horned heads right go.” As much as I hated to leave I knew they were right So I quickly gave flash an objective “All right but you get these people away from here.” Flash who responded as I was flu out through the hole in the roof “On it.”

Year 7: age 24-25
Bruce P.O.V

One hour later on the Watchtower
When I awoke I'm passing out, quickly noticing that I was in the Watchtower sickbay as well as them the upper half of my armor has been removed and I had bandages around my rib cage. I tried to get up as J’onn walked over saying “Lie still, you have a concussion in two cracked ribs.” I groaned before responding “J’onn, you know I've survived much worse.” I was now in a sitting position running my hands over my rib cage.
“I'm sorry?” J’onn suddenly seid out of the blue. I let out a bit of a grown as I responded “Why because I was too stubborn to heed Etrigan warning that you were compromised?” J’onn Nodded in the affirmative as he answered “Etrigan is right my actions nearly cost you your life. I know what I experienced was an illusion, but it felt so real the urge to embrace it was almost more than I can bear. I would almost do anything to see my wife and children again. Can you imagine how that feels?” I looked up at him and answered “Actually I do understand how that feels, after all my parents were murdered right in front of me when I was eight years old. So if anything I would be just as subceptable to such an illusion, as you are.” I then proceeded to get the rest of my armor back on just in time to reunite with Diana, Flash and Etrigan, who had been successful in acquiring the Philosopher's Stone from Hickman.
I then proceeded to guide the three of them too a special storage vault. Flash was the one to do the honors of placing the Philosopher's Stone in the vault as well as sealing it with the scan of his gloved hand print. Once everything was sealed up flash jokingly said “I'd like to see her try to get it now.” of course Etrigan, Managed to insult Flash and warned him in the same sentence “Be careful what you wish for little man.” I'm fairly certain that this point flash had enough of Etrigan insults because he quickly retorted “Well aren't you a ray of sunshine far as I'm concerned, the world is safe again and I need to go freshen up before I leave for Central City.”
Diana then tried to apologize for Flash's outburst “You know he didn't mean that.” Etrigan looked at her and replied “Do you really think I care.” he then walked away in the direction flash had gone.

ten minutes later
Diana and I were going over an inventory check with Etrigan watching us from on top of a crate. while I was at going over the inventory list on the datapad Diana came over with one of the crates that I wanted to double check the contents of. After she set the crate down as well as voice her opinion “The Flash is right there's something unsettling about your friend. When he stares it's like he's looking into my very soul.” I nodded in agreement as I answered “ I know how you feel, but it's much better to have him working with us then against us.” All the sudden the lights on the watchtower deactivated, which normally shouldn't occur which can only mean one thing the station was under attack It was then that Etrigan been stood up and spoke “We are not alone.” “Really stating the obvious there” I thought to myself.
That's when a group of savage Warriors materialized out of nothing right in front of us a few seconds later the lights came back on, and Flash came running into the hangar bayonly to ask “hey who turned out the lights?” That's when he noticed the barbarians that had materialized in the hangar bay and cracked a joke “ I guess I shouldn't have said what I said earlier cuz now we've been jinxed.” I gave him a quick bat glare that screamed ya think.
Etrigan was quick to react blasting the brutes with Hellfire from his hands, a few seconds later a couple of the barbarians emerge from the flames I took out my bola quickly throwing it tripping up one of the barbarians. One got close to Diana she blocked its play with her bracer and punched the Barbarian in the nose with her right hook sending it flying backwards. Etrigan then jumped into the fray Landing on top of a few barbarians.
Not sure how it happened but the barbarians managed to get the upper hand on flash two of them holding a tight his arms in tight grasp but one of the barbarians punched him in the face as he called for help “A little help over here.” The Barbarian proceeded to punched him again with the other two barbarians letting him go so that he would fall to the ground, Diana quickly flew in and punch the two barbarians that had been holding flash away from him. He drowned as he got to his feet saying “Thanks.”
As we were being pushed back towards the door that led directly to the monitor room Diana something odd “Where is J’onn? she was right you should have been here helping us. We ended up getting pushed back into the monitor room or we continue to do battle with the barbarians. At some point Etrigan got knocked off the platform we were fighting on I have to climb back up the outside of the elevator that lets the main monitor control. This of course left Diana, Flash, and I to fight off the barbarians on our own until Etirgan was able to get back up to our position.
It wasn't long before Etirgan was able to get back on the platform we were fighting on. However we were getting overrun One of the barbarians managed nail Diana in the head with their mace, Flash after knocking down Four the Barbarians Blurted out “How many of these guys are there.” This distracted me for a brief second which allowed for one of the Barbarian so wack me in the back Which was not good for my already cracked ribs.
Etirgan then shouted to the flash “Flash we need a maelstrom!” Flash gave him a confused look and asked “Ah what?” which Etirgan quickly clarified “a whirlwind, run fast now.” Flash did as instructed and started racing a circle around us, Etirgan Then spoke the words of a spell “By the cold heart of Hella I command you freeze.” Unleashing a torrent of magical ice from his hands this in combination with flash speed tunnel cause The Barbarians at what had surrounded us to freeze into statues made of pure ice. He then ordered flash to run faster which cause the Frozen barbarians to shatter.
After assessing the damages, Flash was the first to comment on what had just happened “Well that was a real pain in the neck.” I turned around to face everyone and then asked “Is everyone all right?” Diana quickly answered “We're fine but has anyone seen J’onn.” She was right I ain't seen him since I woken up in the sick bay so I quickly gave out an order “We need to spread out and search every deck.” only to be interrupted by Etirgan “don't bother the martian is gone and so is the stone.”
Of course Diana and I were kind of skeptical that J’onn would betray us so we went down to the vault to be sure, only to discover the door was open and the Philosopher's Stone was gone, As we stood there in shock Etirgan began to belittle us “You stupid arrogant pathetic excuses for Heroes.” Diana could only utter “It can't be” Which put her on the receiving end of Etirgan anger “No really your highness take another look, I pursued that witch for centuries. And yet to blindly ignored my warnings and doom the world.” I could see the anger flair up in Diana's eyes as she shouted “Enough!” As she slapped Etirgan across his face of course the demon was unfazed and went on to say “The truth hurts doesn't it princess.” “Why don't you go straight to..” before Diana could let slip some profanity flash ran in to inform us of some more bad news “I've got more bad news one of the javelins is missing, and J’onn’s access code is still punched into the hanger controls.” Etirgan Nonchalantly end of the conversation “ any more questions?”
We rushed back to the monitor room we're Diana tried to contact J’onn “Watchtower to Javelin seven come in Javelin seven. J’onn if you're there answer, please J’onn.” She then turned to us and said “He's turned off his comlink.” Etirgan Reaffirmed had what he had been saying for the last few hours “ he belongs to Le Fay now.”
Flash tried to be optimistic as he spoke “Then we'll stop him I promise.” Etirgan was really quick to counter “Like you promised to protect the philosopher's stone.” I quickly jumped into the conversation to try to be a voice of reason “Will do whatever it takes Etirgan.” The demons next response was a low blow to my moral compass “So Are you saying you're willing to take out one of your own.”
I hated to repeat myself but since I was dealing with the demon Etirgan I had little choice “I repeat whatever it takes.” Flash then pointed out something critical “I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, we're kind of stuck here without a javelin.” “Wait a minute the Zeta beam it was still in the testing phase but just might work” I thought to myself as I spoke “Maybe not get a lock on Javelin seven.”

12 a.m. the witching hour in London
The moment Javelin seven landed I activated the Zeta beam which allowed the four of us to be teleported right to J’onn location after we materialized jumping right over J’onn head We could see we stood face-to-face with Morgan Le Fay and her son Mordred, which of course flash cracked a joke “Ding fith floor Sporting Goods, Hardware, and evil sorceresses.” I quickly reacted throwing a Batarang at Le Fays head however she simply blocked it with a magical Shield, Which she responded with unleashing a torrent of magic from her hands I would have been nailed in the chest again had Etirgan not knocked me out of the way. Le Fay fired a second beam of magic from her hands Which Diana blocked with her bracers but still got sent flying back into the Flash.
While we were on the ground J’onn attempted to get the Philosopher's Stone to Le Fay if it wasn't for Etiran acting quickly he shoved J’onn the ground and put a temporary barrier up while he attempted to detain J’onn. However Le Fay was able to break the barrier with very little effort, With her son Mordred engaging Flash and Diana screaming “Get out of my castle.” Flash movie spoke to Diana behind a pillar he was using as a temporary Shield “Yikes, the kids got chops to.” This is the first time I've ever seen Diana crack a pun “The rotten apple doesn't fall far from the tree.” This made me chuckle internally but I knew I had to keep Focus.
I got to my feet but I was forced to take cover quickly because Le Fay begin focusing her magical attacks on me, the problem was I could only do so much with my cracked ribs. I was pretty much stuck watching from the position I had taken as Diana and Flash engaged Le Fay and Mordred. I pulled out a battery and got ready to throw it not realizing that Mordred head Enchanted the throne bring it to life sending it to attack me And knocked me to the ground knocking the battery for my hand.
thinking quickly I got my feet under it and kicked it off of me got up and grabbed my battering and ran further down the balcony, I've been through it which stunned the sentient throne, I grabbed an ax off the wall and started chomping the throne legs off, and then I kicked it off the side of the balcony. I didn't respect into the room to try to help Diana up only to get stunned myself.
I could see out of the corner of my eye that J’onn had successfully overpowered Etiran not only that he somehow caused him to revert back to being Jason blood. I watched as J’onn stared at Le Fay Seemingly contemplating something holding the Philosopher's Stone out in his hand like he was about to hand it to her then suddenly he crushed it.
this prompted Morgan Le Fay and her son Mordred to flee using some sort of teleporting spell to disappear. as flash Diane and I got to are feet Everything around us started were bringing back to a modern setting. the five of us rushed outsided and Witnesses the buildings around us turned back to the way they were before the spell had been cast, with the tower that was a massive torch turning back into The Westminster Clock Tower.
I couldn't help but smile and say “It's over.” that's when J’onn begin to apologize “My friends, in my yearning for my old family I almost lost my new one. Please accept my humble apology and my resignation from the Justice League.” Diana and I were too stunned to respond all flash could order was “Resignation?” That's when Jason blood stepped in getting J’onn's attention “Wait, the demon was wrong about you Martian, you redeemed yourself this day” J’onn stopped and turned around to look at Jason blood and ask “Did I really?” Flash was the one to answer the question “Look you may be a martian but if this Mission taught us anything you're just as human as the rest of us?”
Jason and followed up with flash it said with this “I only wish I had your strength centuries ago, But I'm still cursed and must walk alone throughout eternity.” As Jason blood walked away alone After that conversation all J’onn could say was “poor man, hopefully one day he finds the piece he seeks.”

Also Diana's conversation with flash is meant to really drive it home that this universe Flash is Barry Allen And I will be using both versions of Wally west, Pre-new 52 / rebirth Wally is around the same age as Richard Grayson that being late teens or early twenties, in this case the nephew Berry is referring to is New 52/Rebirth Wallace West who is around the same age as Tim Drake who is around 10-11 years old, He'll be one of the three founders of Young Justice later down the line alongside red robin and Aqualad If you think about it both Bruce Wayne and Barry Allen would be just as susceptible to Morgan Le Fay's illusions, Since like J’onn the two of them have a similar experiences to him, In Bruce's case it's his parents being murdered in front of them. for Barry Allen it's his mother.)

Chapter 7: A Knight of Shadows

(A/N I guess you could say this was going to be one of the first holiday Centric chapters this being the first of two that happens on Halloween, this is another chapter that would involve the perspective shift between Bruce and Diana )

The suits/armor of the JL founders
1. Batman the batsuit he is wearing is based on the armor he wore in the Arkham Knight.
2. Wonder woman her armor is based on the WW Odyssey armor with all the gold replaced with silver of her new 52 armor.
3. green lantern/John stewart his Green Lantern attire is based on his Injustice Gods Among Us attire from the game/comic series.
4. Superman he's wearing his new 52 armor.
5. Martian Manhunter/J'onn J'onzz is wearing his uniform that he wears in the young justice cartoon/mid-2000s comic.
6. The Flash is wearing his arrowverse suit with some elements from the comics that being he can hide the suit in a ring.
7. Hawkgirl She's wearing the armor that she wears in the arrowverse.

October 31st

Bruce P.O.V

After the mess with Felix Faust last month, I decided to take a break and Nightwing, red robin, and Batgirl in charge of Gotham, I traveled to the United Kingdom, for five day vacation. Everything was fine until my final night there, because my phone's batwave went off which prompted me to suit up and investigate. I made my way to the antiquarian which was where the alarm had been tripped, I watched as a seemingly elderly man was wheeled away from the shop and Placed into to an ambulance. Once the coast was clear I opened the skylight.
I dropped down to the ground floor and noted the mess up book strewn across the floor, I'm glad Alfred wasn't here he'd be appalled by mess of rare books. I took out a flashlight for my utility belt in order better survey what happened that's when I noticed a book on the counter that had a page torn out of it so I walked over to get a closer look, quickly putting the flashlight back in my utility belt I ended up reading out loud the header on the previous page “The Philosopher's Stone” That's when I heard the voice of an old friend that I haven't seen since the mess with Klarion a year ago.
“According to legend, It was a gem from the hilt Excalibur and the true Source the sword fabled power” I turned to face him and proceeded to greet him “ Hello Jason, I assume you're not here to browse?” Jason was quite quick to reveal why he was here “ I'm a friend of the owner.” I raised an eyebrow under my cowl slightly confused as I asked “you mean that old man.” Jason and responded quite bluntly “He's 32 years old.” which can only mean one thing “magic I hate Magic” Jason blood then went on to explain “He's also an expert on Arthurian lore.”
At this point I had two bite “All right Jason what's this all about?” He responded by simply starting with a name “Morgan Le Fay, when Camelot fell Merlin was able to hide the Philosopher's Stone from her, now she's returned to track it down again” I almost seid impossible but then I remembered I'm working with a Amazonian demigoddess, so at this point I would say anything's possible As I responded “So why exactly does she want the jem?”
Jason answered with a grim tone to his voice “ with that she could resurrect Camelot, and instill her son Mordred on the throne.”

An forty five Minutes later in a castle in the English Countryside

After Jason and I arrived at the Castle, We then proceeded to the room that displayed several suits of armor, As we walked in I took out my flashlight who started shiny at around the room. Once we reach the stone chest? At the end of the room I put away my flashlight and then we worked together to remove the cover, Jason and put his hand at the bottom of the empty container feeling around suddenly his hand glowed which prompted him to speak “She's been here but she doesn't have a stone yet”
I then asked a really dumb question “How can you be sure?” but before I can get an answer the doors we had come in through slam shut and the weapons that were on display suddenly start to glow And flew off the pillars that they've been setup on, And then shot directly at us. I quickly shoved Jason out of the way shouting “Get down!” “I have to admit It's moments like this I really wish I had taken Giovanni Zatara up on his offer to learn actual magic from him, and not just the skill of escape artist” I thought to myself as I dove forward out of the way.
I landed in front of one of the suits of armor I turned around and unsheathed a sword from its Scabbard and shouted to Jason blood “Jason the door!” As he ran to the door I use the sword that I had Ron to deflect the flying blades whacking them to the ground A few seconds later Jason shouted “ it's sealed shut” I jump backwards to avoid an axe up close to one of the suits of armor I could hear it starting to move so I jump forward noting that other suits of armor was starting to Glow coming to life as well. I kicked one to the ground and block the other sword with the sword I was wielding I destroyed one of the suits of armor helmets, I pulled out my grapple gun and used to tie up the suit of armor that I've been dueling.
I turned around and no two suits of armor closing in on Jason so I acted quick jumping Direct on one of the suits of armor is back's sending it falling to the ground, I didn't have to quickly Dodge the other suit of armor as it slashed its axe down, which I quickly avoided but it cut the other suit of armor in half, As I landed back on the ground I grab the set suit of armor by its helmet and sent it flying into two other suits now we're making their way over towards us.
But we're still outnumbered six to two in fact As I charged forward Jason shouted “ there are too many of them!” I missed you passed to the suits of armor but then I slashed the sword I was wielding and got it lodged in the back of the third suit of armor And then punched me and sending me flying into a pillar.
As I was trying to get back to my feet Jason suddenly started yelling “Gone Gone the form of man rise the demon Etrigan!” I will admit I was wondering how long it would be before Jason blood would be forced to become Etrigan. I watched as Etrigan Ripped one of the suits of armor in half and then proceeded to incinerate three more, The fourth one tried to bring it to ask down on me what hit the pillar instead I had to quickly dodge out of the way because Etrigan used his fire to incinerate it.
As I surveyed the damage I made sure to scold Etrigan Almost incinerating me as along with the suit of armor “Etrigan You could have warned me you were going to use Hellfire.” Of course he wasn't paying too much attention to what I just said as he spoke “That which will pay for this I will Feast on her cold heart.”
It was then I realized the two of us wouldn't be able to handle this alone so I contacted the watchtower requesting back-up from the league members who were on monitor Duty. As we waited for them to arrive, I took note of the damages As well as the destroyed suits armor that I was going to have to write out check for to replace.

An thrity five minutes later

When Diana, J’onn and the Flash I gave him a quick overview of the situation and advise that we take a moment to ask Etrigan but further details about Morgan Le Fay. Diana of course was the one to ask Etrigan the first question “You say you've been trailing Le Fay for centuries?” Etrigan was quick to answer her question “In an unending game of cat-and-mouse. For the past generation she is hidden from me But I'll never rest until her soul burns in the eternal pit” Flash made a comment that was quite disrespectful “And I thought bats was creepy.” Which caused Etrigan to start glaring at him and let out a growl.
Even though I knew powerful magic was likely at play. I decide to ask Etrigan any way “How exactly has she alluded you for so long.” Etrigan quickly answered my question “The witch has an amulet that senses when I'm drawing near” Flash then made a joke “With that stench who needs an amulet?” this of course ticked off Etrigan who grabbed Flash and tell him above his head shouting “What!” I think flash realize he should stop pissing off the literal demon from hell as sheepishly responded with “Nothing.”
J’onn then came forward to make a suggestion “Perhaps you should consider another approach.” Etrigan responded by throwing flash to the ground before speaking to J’onn “And what do you suggest?” J’onn was quick to answer “I could try to locate her telepathically.” it was then that J’onn closed his eyes when he opened them again they were glowing. A few seconds later he suddenly screamed in pain collapsing flat on his face. we rushed over I called out his name in shock “J’onn!”
We got him on board the javelin Etrigan then muttered something about the witch casting spell on J’onn mind suddenly his I started glowing as he entered J’onn's mind to dispel what Morgan had done to him. two minutes later J’onn jolted awake with flash making another bad joke “We thought we had lost you buddy.” J’onn looked at his reflection in the javelin's window with a sad expression on his face speaking as he got up “Then it was all an illusion.” walking to the front of the javelin needing to be alone for the moment.
“Perceptive isn't he?” Etrigan commented which cost flash to have a knee-jerk reaction with his response “layoff gruesome.” Diana then walked over to check on J’onn putting her hand on his shoulder while asking “J’onn are you all right?” He then turned to her and answered “yes of course I'll be fine.” I then proceeded to ask J’onn the important question “Did you manage to locate Le Fay?” He shook his head as he answered “No, But I did send she hasn't found the stone yet.” Diana then interjected “Thank Hera for that.” Afterwards J’onn continued “before she lashed out at me, I heard the words archaeologist and Castle”
“Hmm It's a start.” I responded, then I quickly activated my gauntlets link to the batcomputer the connection was slightly slowed being in Europe after all, once I established a connection I cross referenced the castle and discovered it had been rediscovery by archaeologists at some point after World War II. Their names being Henry Moss and Harv Hickman. I then told everyone to strap in so I could fly us to a location where would be easier to split up into two teams
While enroute Etrigan started whispering to me “Don't trust the martian he's been tainted by that witch” I quickly whispered back “let us worry about that.” Etrigan Wasn't pleased with my answer as he went on to say “He'd me she will tap into your deepest desires and then dingle them like a carrot in front of your nose. She will give you everything you dream of, But only until she gets what she wants” I then said something that caught and Etrigan off guard “The voice of experience.” The demon growled and then said “Don't say I didn't warn you”
I opened the access hatch and informed Diana and Flash that they were to head to Harv Hickman's manor. While J’onn, Etrigan and I would resume our flight to Durham University to speak with Henry Moss.
thrity minutes later
Once we arrived at the Durham University I landed the javelin and we quickly slipped inside Henry Moss, however we didn't get a chance to close the double doors leading to the outside. When Henry entered the room discovering the doors were wide open he went over to his desk and pulled out a revolver and then called out “whoever you are show yourself” of course Etrigan was the one to oblige, Quickly slapping the revolver out of his hand and terrifying the poor man as he spoke “Henry Moss” He then grabbed his chest and collapsed.
this prompted J’onn and I to rush out from our hiding spots. I gave Etrigan a bat glare as I spoke “What the heck did you do.” The last thing we needed was a respected Professor dropping dead from Terror. J’onn Quickly assessed professor Moss before speaking “he's in shock he will recover.” Etrigan Chose then to State the obvious “Why bother with him he'll pass on in a few years” At this point I was really tempted to ask him to switch back to being Jason blood Because at this point I was getting really fed up with Etrigan antics.
J’onn And place his hand on Henry Moss head and uses telepathy to probe his mind and quickly informed us what he had found “ He has no knowledge of the Stone the Relic is not here.” Etrigan Immediately slap the lamp on Professor Moss desk as he spoke “But if Moss doesn't have it then maybe Hickman does.”
But since it was very likely Morgan Le Fay. Was going to follow the same lead that we had, So I figured our best course of action would be to lay a trap Which was fairly simple J’onn would take on the form of Henry Moss and act as bait while, Etrigan and I would observe from a vantage point. While I was observing through my binoculars I reminded Etrigan the plan. “Le Fay, nay not know Moss doesn't have the stone. If she comes we'll be waiting.”
Etrigan how ever brought up the conversation that we had in the javelin “I still don't trust that Martian, He's damaged goods” At this point I was really fed up with Etrigan’s Seemingly one track mind so I growled out “ I trust J’onn with my life.” of course the demon responded with a low blow “I'll send flowers” which I figured It was Etrigan’s way of saying your funeral.
It was then that Morgan Le Fay and her son Mordred appeared, Etrigan and I lept into action however by the time we got inside Moss's office, Morgan have used her magic on J’onn causing him to shift from his disguise into is Martian Manhunter form,and fall to his hands and knees. Etrigan crashed through the window shattering it while I glided in behind him. As soon as we landed Morgan Fired a blast of magic from her hands that we both have to dodge out of the way of, Etrigan Fired Magic from his own hands shouting “Burn witch!” Which she easily blocked with some sort of Shield spell As she taunted the demon “Still so bitter my love.” Suddenly reflecting the magical energy that her shielded absorbed at Etrigan sending him flying.
I took out a batarang in through it at Le Fay power screed another magical Shield which destroyed my batarang on contact. Etrigan and J’onn got to there feet. However something caused John to lose his composure which in turn distracted me, Le Fay used it as an opening to unleash a Energy plans for hand which nailed me in the chest Which sent me flying into Etrigan As we got shot through the wall.
I blacked out for a few seconds when I came to and Etrigan was whaling on J’onn I quickly rushed over and caught his rist saying “No leave him alone...” It was then that I passed out

Year 1: age 23-24
Diana P.O.V
As I flew down to Harv Hickman's Manor. We noticed that there was a line of people dressed in costumes waiting to get in. “I should probably warn you the type of magazines are Harv Hickman published.” Flash seid out of the blue “Why is that?” I asked he gave me a look that screamed please don't slap me for what I'm about to say as he answered “The type of magazine Hickman published, are along the same lines, of a Playboy magazine though his had far more explicit sexual content.” I raised an eyebrow and asked “how exactly do you know this.” he sighed and then said “When I was getting my major in forensics, one of my dorm mates showed me a copy of the magazine. Besides I'm a married man last thing I want to do is read something that would most definitely piss my wife off.”
I decided to change the topic and ask“So why is everyone dressed up in costumes.” Flash took a moment to think before responding “If I had to guess it's probably some kind of halloween bash. Which reminds me hopefully this mission doesn't take too long because I promised my wife I'd be back in time to take one of our nephews trick or treating.” I gave an understanding node then said “Alright let's find mr. Hickman” We then proceed to cut our way to the front of the line, stopping front of the bouncer at the top of the steps.
“Are you on the list?” the bouncer asked keeping a neutral expression on my face as I answered “This is an emergency where the Justice League.” The bouncer just chuckled and said “Oh really then who are they?” which causing flash and I to turn around and realize there were two party guests dressed as Batman and Superman. At that point I lost my temper so I grabbed the bouncer and threw him into a bush. which caused the people waiting in line to cheer, The bouncer popped his head out of the bush and brought his finger to his ear piece. That's when three guys dressed in a tux and glass sunglasses came running.
“You know this is going to get messy.” flash pointed out. That's one of voice called out “Wait?” That's when a small man with a very creepy grin walked out from behind the security guards the way he was looking me as he circled around me made my skin crawl after finishing his rotation he spoke “How could I deny such a goddess.” He then proceeded to kiss my hand and said “Come in.” So the Flash and I followed him inside.
Harv Hickman then gave us a guided tour through his Manor he listed off the amenities his home has “My manor has a home theater, personal gym, and a game room.” As the three of us came to a stop in front of a statue Mr. Hickman started boasting to us about “This is one of my prized possessions a genuine Greek statue..” I suddenly blurted out “It's Roman.” this cost mr. Hickman to stop and look at me in confusion urdering out “Excuse me” so I took the opportunity to explain the difference “this statue is a Roman copy, possibly Atlantean.” Mr. Hickman then asked “How would you know that?” before I could respond flash answered “Trust her on this one, originals probably on themyscira.”
with that conversation finished we continued on our tour. There was suddenly a beeping sound coming from under Flash's suit. he gave me an apologetic look before saying “I going to find a vacant room, so I can answer this uninterrupted.” in the moment he was gone in a blink of an eye. This of course left me alone with mr. Hickman and he put his left arm around my back and on my shoulder saying “I have the power to jump start your career babe, But I'm guessing you already knew that?”
I quickly realized Mr. Hickman must not have seen perform that feat of strength or I tossed his bouncer into a bush I bet he thinks I'm some dumb broad looking to start her modeling career. But I also realized I could use what he was assuming to my advantage As I answered his question “And what is the source of your power, Some kind of Crystal or stone?”
mr. Hickman gave me that creepy smile again as he responded “How'd you guess?” I continue to play along as I answered “I'd love to see your stone mr. Hickman.” his next response came out bit stuttered “ please call me Harv.” mr. Hickman proceeded to lead me to a room on the second floor that had double doors, when he opened them. I quickly realized he had taken me to his master bedroom.
Mr. Hickman then walked over to his bed what you got on and crawl towards the headboard which had a stone encased in glass on it as he explained “So while I was working on the excavation of the castle I found this. It changed my life, soon I had everything I had ever dreamed of Cars, cash, girls.” At this point I decided to drop the act and get serious with the question I was about to ask “So let me get this straight you get your hands on the one of the most powerful magical objects in the world. And yet all you wished for was money in women” He gave me his creepy smile again as he answered “what else is there”
Suddenly there was a loud boom, which prompted me to turn around raising my arms up in preparation for a fight As a roaring wind ripped the doors that led to the master bedrooms balcony off their hinges, I got pushed into the wall while the winds picked up mr. Hickman and I managed to catch him before you fell to the ground. That's when Morgan Le Fay and her son Mordred flew into the room.
She then looked at the master bedroom doors and use magic to slam them shut, Le Fay started speaking in her calm yet cold voice “At last my quest the stone is mine” I tossed mr. Hickman away shouting “Not yet!” Quickly flying over the bed and grabbing the Stone from its special spot on the headboard. Le Fay was quick to react throwing magical energy blast at me that I was quick to dodge.
Admittedly a lot of the art in the room got caught in the crossfire That's what mr. Hickman should have kept his mouth shut as he shouted “My Neiman!” This prompted Le Fay to turn her attention to him hitting him with a blast of magic from our eyes. which transformed mr. Heckman into a giant worm.
That at the behest of the Le Fay The giant worm slammed into me sending us both through the wall, I ended up Landing in the Next Room the worm flying over me proceeding through the next wall, I noticed that the two women put a pin in the room had terrified looks on their faces that's when The Flash run an into the room and asked “Are you okay?” I let out a groan as I answered “ Morgan Le Fay is here.” He responded quickly “I kind of gathered that. I take it the giant worm is?” I quickly answer this question “yeah the giant worm is mr. Hickman.” We could hear screaming down the hall which prompted flash to run off to help.
It took me about twenty seconds seconds to catch up, Arriving in time to see flash get knocked To The Ground by the giant worm after barely saving a woman who is dressed like an anthro cat. I flew in and punched the worm apologizing “sorry Harv” I then proceeded to beat the giant worm down I took out my lasso and got a tight around it. However That's when Morgan Le Fay arrived and used her magic to try to get the stone away from me. I held onto it as long as I could Le Fay almost got her hands on it When she was suddenly hit by a fire blastthat sent her flying through a wall.
I turned to look to see where the blast of had come from to my surprise I saw the demon Etrigan hands glowing as he spoke “Why are you still here you have the stone run!” I glared at the demon in retorted “I never run away from a battle.” The demon countered “Get the stone is far away from Le Fay you can, I'll handle the witch.” Flash quickly joined in “Horned heads right go.” As much as I hated to leave I knew they were right So I quickly gave flash an objective “All right but you get these people away from here.” Flash who responded as I was flu out through the hole in the roof “On it.”

Bruce P.O.V

One hour later on the Watchtower
When I awoke I'm passing out, quickly noticing that I was in the Watchtower sickbay as well as them the upper half of my armor has been removed and I had bandages around my rib cage. I tried to get up as J’onn walked over saying “Lie still, you have a concussion in two cracked ribs.” I groaned before responding “J’onn, you know I've survived much worse.” I was now in a sitting position running my hands over my rib cage.
“I'm sorry?” J’onn suddenly seid out of the blue. I let out a bit of a grown as I responded “Why because I was too stubborn to heed Etrigan warning that you were compromised?” J’onn Nodded in the affirmative as he answered “Etrigan is right my actions nearly cost you your life. I know what I experienced was an illusion, but it felt so real the urge to embrace it was almost more than I can bear. I would almost do anything to see my wife and children again. Can you imagine how that feels?” I looked up at him and answered “Actually I do understand how that feels, after all my parents were murdered right in front of me when I was eight years old. So if anything I would be just as subceptable to such an illusion, as you are.” I then proceeded to get the rest of my armor back on just in time to reunite with Diana, Flash and Etrigan, who had been successful in acquiring the Philosopher's Stone from Hickman.
I then proceeded to guide the three of them too a special storage vault. Flash was the one to do the honors of placing the Philosopher's Stone in the vault as well as sealing it with the scan of his gloved hand print. Once everything was sealed up flash jokingly said “I'd like to see her try to get it now.” of course Etrigan, Managed to insult Flash and warned him in the same sentence “Be careful what you wish for little man.” I'm fairly certain that this point flash had enough of Etrigan insults because he quickly retorted “Well aren't you a ray of sunshine far as I'm concerned, the world is safe again and I need to go freshen up before I leave for Central City.”
Diana then tried to apologize for Flash's outburst “You know he didn't mean that.” Etrigan looked at her and replied “Do you really think I care.” he then walked away in the direction flash had gone.

ten minutes later
Diana and I were going over an inventory check with Etrigan watching us from on top of a crate. while I was at going over the inventory list on the datapad Diana came over with one of the crates that I wanted to double check the contents of. After she set the crate down as well as voice her opinion “The Flash is right there's something unsettling about your friend. When he stares it's like he's looking into my very soul.” I nodded in agreement as I answered “ I know how you feel, but it's much better to have him working with us then against us.” All the sudden the lights on the watchtower deactivated, which normally shouldn't occur which can only mean one thing the station was under attack It was then that Etrigan been stood up and spoke “We are not alone.” “Really stating the obvious there” I thought to myself.
That's when a group of savage Warriors materialized out of nothing right in front of us a few seconds later the lights came back on, and Flash came running into the hangar bayonly to ask “hey who turned out the lights?” That's when he noticed the barbarians that had materialized in the hangar bay and cracked a joke “ I guess I shouldn't have said what I said earlier cuz now we've been jinxed.” I gave him a quick bat glare that screamed ya think.
Etrigan was quick to react blasting the brutes with Hellfire from his hands, a few seconds later a couple of the barbarians emerge from the flames I took out my bola quickly throwing it tripping up one of the barbarians. One got close to Diana she blocked its play with her bracer and punched the Barbarian in the nose with her right hook sending it flying backwards. Etrigan then jumped into the fray Landing on top of a few barbarians.
Not sure how it happened but the barbarians managed to get the upper hand on flash two of them holding a tight his arms in tight grasp but one of the barbarians punched him in the face as he called for help “A little help over here.” The Barbarian proceeded to punched him again with the other two barbarians letting him go so that he would fall to the ground, Diana quickly flew in and punch the two barbarians that had been holding flash away from him. He drowned as he got to his feet saying “Thanks.”
As we were being pushed back towards the door that led directly to the monitor room Diana something odd “Where is J’onn? she was right you should have been here helping us. We ended up getting pushed back into the monitor room or we continue to do battle with the barbarians. At some point Etrigan got knocked off the platform we were fighting on I have to climb back up the outside of the elevator that lets the main monitor control. This of course left Diana, Flash, and I to fight off the barbarians on our own until Etirgan was able to get back up to our position.
It wasn't long before Etirgan was able to get back on the platform we were fighting on. However we were getting overrun One of the barbarians managed nail Diana in the head with their mace, Flash after knocking down Four the Barbarians Blurted out “How many of these guys are there.” This distracted me for a brief second which allowed for one of the Barbarian so wack me in the back Which was not good for my already cracked ribs.
Etirgan then shouted to the flash “Flash we need a maelstrom!” Flash gave him a confused look and asked “Ah what?” which Etirgan quickly clarified “a whirlwind, run fast now.” Flash did as instructed and started racing a circle around us, Etirgan Then spoke the words of a spell “By the cold heart of Hella I command you freeze.” Unleashing a torrent of magical ice from his hands this in combination with flash speed tunnel cause The Barbarians at what had surrounded us to freeze into statues made of pure ice. He then ordered flash to run faster which cause the Frozen barbarians to shatter.
After assessing the damages, Flash was the first to comment on what had just happened “Well that was a real pain in the neck.” I turned around to face everyone and then asked “Is everyone all right?” Diana quickly answered “We're fine but has anyone seen J’onn.” She was right I ain't seen him since I woken up in the sick bay so I quickly gave out an order “We need to spread out and search every deck.” only to be interrupted by Etirgan “don't bother the martian is gone and so is the stone.”
Of course Diana and I were kind of skeptical that J’onn would betray us so we went down to the vault to be sure, only to discover the door was open and the Philosopher's Stone was gone, As we stood there in shock Etirgan began to belittle us “You stupid arrogant pathetic excuses for Heroes.” Diana could only utter “It can't be” Which put her on the receiving end of Etirgan anger “No really your highness take another look, I pursued that witch for centuries. And yet to blindly ignored my warnings and doom the world.” I could see the anger flair up in Diana's eyes as she shouted “Enough!” As she slapped Etirgan across his face of course the demon was unfazed and went on to say “The truth hurts doesn't it princess.” “Why don't you go straight to..” before Diana could let slip some profanity flash ran in to inform us of some more bad news “I've got more bad news one of the javelins is missing, and J’onn’s access code is still punched into the hanger controls.” Etirgan Nonchalantly end of the conversation “ any more questions?”
We rushed back to the monitor room we're Diana tried to contact J’onn “Watchtower to Javelin seven come in Javelin seven. J’onn if you're there answer, please J’onn.” She then turned to us and said “He's turned off his comlink.” Etirgan Reaffirmed had what he had been saying for the last few hours “ he belongs to Le Fay now.”
Flash tried to be optimistic as he spoke “Then we'll stop him I promise.” Etirgan was really quick to counter “Like you promised to protect the philosopher's stone.” I quickly jumped into the conversation to try to be a voice of reason “Will do whatever it takes Etirgan.” The demons next response was a low blow to my moral compass “So Are you saying you're willing to take out one of your own.”
I hated to repeat myself but since I was dealing with the demon Etirgan I had little choice “I repeat whatever it takes.” Flash then pointed out something critical “I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, we're kind of stuck here without a javelin.” “Wait a minute the Zeta beam it was still in the testing phase but just might work” I thought to myself as I spoke “Maybe not get a lock on Javelin seven.”

12 a.m. the witching hour in London
The moment Javelin seven landed I activated the Zeta beam which allowed the four of us to be teleported right to J’onn location after we materialized jumping right over J’onn head We could see we stood face-to-face with Morgan Le Fay and her son Mordred, which of course flash cracked a joke “Ding fith floor Sporting Goods, Hardware, and evil sorceresses.” I quickly reacted throwing a Batarang at Le Fays head however she simply blocked it with a magical Shield, Which she responded with unleashing a torrent of magic from her hands I would have been nailed in the chest again had Etirgan not knocked me out of the way. Le Fay fired a second beam of magic from her hands Which Diana blocked with her bracers but still got sent flying back into the Flash.
While we were on the ground J’onn attempted to get the Philosopher's Stone to Le Fay if it wasn't for Etiran acting quickly he shoved J’onn the ground and put a temporary barrier up while he attempted to detain J’onn. However Le Fay was able to break the barrier with very little effort, With her son Mordred engaging Flash and Diana screaming “Get out of my castle.” Flash movie spoke to Diana behind a pillar he was using as a temporary Shield “Yikes, the kids got chops to.” This is the first time I've ever seen Diana crack a pun “The rotten apple doesn't fall far from the tree.” This made me chuckle internally but I knew I had to keep Focus.
I got to my feet but I was forced to take cover quickly because Le Fay begin focusing her magical attacks on me, the problem was I could only do so much with my cracked ribs. I was pretty much stuck watching from the position I had taken as Diana and Flash engaged Le Fay and Mordred. I pulled out a battery and got ready to throw it not realizing that Mordred head Enchanted the throne bring it to life sending it to attack me And knocked me to the ground knocking the battery for my hand.
thinking quickly I got my feet under it and kicked it off of me got up and grabbed my battering and ran further down the balcony, I've been through it which stunned the sentient throne, I grabbed an ax off the wall and started chomping the throne legs off, and then I kicked it off the side of the balcony. I didn't respect into the room to try to help Diana up only to get stunned myself.
I could see out of the corner of my eye that J’onn had successfully overpowered Etiran not only that he somehow caused him to revert back to being Jason blood. I watched as J’onn stared at Le Fay Seemingly contemplating something holding the Philosopher's Stone out in his hand like he was about to hand it to her then suddenly he crushed it.
this prompted Morgan Le Fay and her son Mordred to flee using some sort of teleporting spell to disappear. as flash Diane and I got to are feet Everything around us started were bringing back to a modern setting. the five of us rushed outsided and Witnesses the buildings around us turned back to the way they were before the spell had been cast, with the tower that was a massive torch turning back into The Westminster Clock Tower.
I couldn't help but smile and say “It's over.” that's when J’onn begin to apologize “My friends, in my yearning for my old family I almost lost my new one. Please accept my humble apology and my resignation from the Justice League.” Diana and I were too stunned to respond all flash could order was “Resignation?” That's when Jason blood stepped in getting J’onn's attention “Wait, the demon was wrong about you Martian, you redeemed yourself this day” J’onn stopped and turned around to look at Jason blood and ask “Did I really?” Flash was the one to answer the question “Look you may be a martian but if this Mission taught us anything you're just as human as the rest of us?”
Jason and followed up with flash it said with this “I only wish I had your strength centuries ago, But I'm still cursed and must walk alone throughout eternity.” As Jason blood walked away alone After that conversation all J’onn could say was “poor man, hopefully one day he finds the piece he seeks.”
