Description My very FIRST attempt at armor drawing from a month ago, a half plate set of armor, and as you can see, I put a lot of trademark flare into it, maybe a bit too much. Done fully in HB pencil, and if I ever tried penning it and made a mistake, I will cry... really I will. The name Sunfury is generally an indication on the kind of theme I wanted to portray. I wanted dynamic and furious, yet light and agile.

Now, where to begin....?

Lets start from the top on something unrelated to get us ready. The head is meant to be another drawing completely but I figured that it would be a good base to start out this challenge. Master Sekaiichibannobaka had mentioned that it was an improvement to some of my other previous pieces but he also said it was too big for the body.... which I painfully have to concur. Too late for adjustments cause I ran out of page room.

NOW lets begin.... First up is the chest piece. Since Im not accustomed to drawing on a 3D scale yet, I kept it on a front view scale. Its an elaborate two piece set, top half protects the chest to the neck, bottom allows some freedom of movement. There is a tunic underneath that corresponds with the design and those faint lines around the oval shaped jewel on her belly is fabric. People will ask,"Why fabric down there?". I can only answer, 'No clue....'. It was a random inspiration to give her a bit of elegance. Maybe I should add some more to make the whole piece look ceremonial....

Shoulder pauldrons and forearm vambraces are an inspiration from a game armor design, specifically Neverwinter Nights. I made the shoulder pieces multi layered also due to another game design, but more sci fi in scale. If people know about the Wiess Ritter from the Super Robot Wars OG series, they'll know this immediately. The areas between the vambraces and the pauldrons is indeed bare flesh. I wanted the armor to be light and flexible, therefore the design.

The tasset by the waist is an inspiration from yet ANOTHER game, Soulcalibur, specifically the custom character tasset part on the third game. Whatever is underneath the cloth and metal is up to everyone's imagination, naughty ones or clean....

I gave her the cape as a last minute addition, a finishing touch which I cant seem to gauge the significance at this present time. Looked a little bare and unprepared without it so I just slapped it on.

The character in this drawing is very close to earning a place in my Moonshadow story but due to certain constraints and far too many characters present already.... I doubt she will be making an appearence. If I ever have the time to do so, I may be making adjustments, maybe try to redraw her at another angle, maybe in an action pose with a weapon.... That'll be the day....
