Description
A recent design that I fell partially in love with. This started out with the bird in the center and everything else was made all around it. In a matter of hours, I was done drawing. In a matter of weeks, I got the time to pen it, then post it here to add to my collection of weapon designs. There are no hollow points here like the others, unfortunately, but I did try out using serrated blades by the edge of the crossguard to mimic the image of my favorite legendary bird of fire, the Phoenix. It suddenly became a static opposite of my Moonshadow weapon designs, of which I didnt realize until I made a small comparison.I had a lot of trouble trying to decide on detail for this, because I felt that the more I added, the less the bird in the middle would stand out. I tried anyway and came up with this. The weapon itself is of the broadsword family so I had plenty of space to add the detail by the forte. As for the hilt design, I left that out unfortunately. I wanted to concentrate on the crossguard and the forte itself.
It got me so fascinated on what kind of background I could make with it that I decided to give it a fire magic property, thus allowing the bladed edge to turn into a blazing inferno of death for slashing with an extra crispy charred fried flavor. Method of activation is still a mystery to me though.
If anyone has seen my first armor the piece, the Sunfury armor, this is the weapon that goes with it. If I can find the time and inclination to do so, I may try to put them together into a dynamic pose to really get the heat going.
.... I should really start using a ruler....
