Working a dull day-to-day job can be taxing on one's physical and mental state. Most of the time, these negative feelings persist within a person and stay with them throughout their life. In some instances, however, a person in this boring life will all of a sudden regain their outgoing, jovial, whatever sort of attitude they had before.

The negativity has left them, yes, but not in the way you're expecting. They really didn't get over it; rather, this persistent emotional state took a physical form and broke away from their person, resulting in a hollowed out human form. This shell retains the bad vibes it sent through its host, and wanders about in an almost painful state. It will not rest until it finds another person, happy with their employment, to attach themselves to and take control of once more.

I've conceptualized the solution to workplace resentment. Or not. I'm not sure. I gotta find me a job soon though.
