This is a really pretty piece which looks very good at the first view. And even beyond this. First of all some technical stuff: The exposure is really good, the focus is clearly set on the model and it’s sharp, which is very important. The colors are very natural and the white balance is also very good – so well done on this part.
I really like the whole look of the model. She’s really pretty and very natural. The dress looks nice, too, and I love that the colors that were used in this image repeat itself. I mean the red dress with the red flowers in the background, the brown in her eyes and in the trees, the black in the dress and her hair, and her very light skin finds itself in the light background again. This really supports the look of the whole photograph, because it is closed in itself in this part. It’s also good that she’s not standing in the direct middle of the image – rule of thirs, so this is great, too. The DOF is also clear to see – the focus is in the foregrond, the model, and the background is a minor part.
What I actually don’t like so much is the necklace. In my opinion it’s too big and draws too much attention to it. The eye automatically looks there, but I would consider the model itself and the expression on her face as more important. I would’ve taken a smaller one. And I think that red lipstick would’ve looked gorgeous in this one! Just because you already have red twice i there it would just add a bit more color.
