Luriam Pt1

The windy storm was passing over the small city Bar Han. The streets filled with water and wandering civilians, Vehicles driving up and down the road. Traffic light s changing colors. On a shuttle platform, six people were boarding the craft, a man walks into the pilot’s seat and he wipes a little water off his shoulder, “Alright... everyone, this is Captain Philip Morgan, and We’ll be heading up to Luriam pretty soon, so strap on in.”

He began starting up the primary engines, and power. Jenkins the Co-pilot got into his seat and buckled up, he then began flipping switches. Chase then takes his belt and he straps in, he secures the buckle and sat back into the gel insulated seat. The shuttle started revving up, the whines of the turbines started roaring loudly through the moist air. Slowly, he shuttle lifts, along with the landing gear. Chase takes the large controls into his hands after placing the comm device on his ear and he took the shuttle out of the hangar. Rain and clouds zooming past and against the shuttle. Chase then says with a chuckle, “Hey Jenks? Ever been to Luriam before?” Jenkins nods, “Yeah, once or twice. I hear they just got finished building that hotel up there...  Oh! Isn’t your sister, Olivia  up there too?” Chase then nods, “Yeah... Its been two years since I’ve seen her... ‘d be good to see her again... I also Heard Ethan and Gideon are up there as well.” Jenkins nods, “Yeah, but Gideon hasn’t arrived yet, I’ve heard that Ethan is already up there.”

The Shuttle had made it past the clouds, and was ascending into orbit. “Okay people.. Confirming departure of  Edumea’s atmosphere in three... Two... One...” the shuttle the switches to it’s orbital thrusters and the primary engines deactivated. Chase then tilts the shuttle upside down a bit and he looks at the planet through the cockpit window, he smiles, “Beautiful...” He remembered back when he was younger, he had never known how big Edumea was at all. This was every pilot’s favorite thing about their job. Jenkins then unstraps himself, he sighs, “Okay, Lemme know when we reach Luriam.. I need to use the little ladies room..” Chase nods, “Okay, We’ll be there in less than two minutes, I heard Rooney say that the alien ship was huge, and was something to see.” He wondered what it looked like and how big it was.
