Sometimes this would twist them into forms unrecognizable as their own kind. And we admire those who go too far to learn more about the strange anomalies in their world. This horrible mass of tentacles is an astrophysicist, and it took some getting used to their new form, but with some living assistance tools they're ready to continue doing their thing, and nobody thinks any less of them.
