BACKSTORY
Avkash was just another Hoopa born into one of the many Universe’s Arceus had control over. How do they know there’s only one Arceus? Well, Arceus told them, and what their purpose was as a mythical pokemon as soon as they were born into their world. Hoopa, or Avkash, the name they gave themselves, was the holder of dimensional hopping with the power of their rings. They were not the only Hoopa of course, they knew that just like the many Hoopa’s given this role. Avkash used their skill to hop through dimensions to explore through worlds, and as they grew they had an odd desire to help others by “granting wishes”. They knew they couldn’t actually grant wishes with their powers, but made it seem like it by grabbing things from an alternate reality and magically making it appear for those who were in need of certain items.
Once they solved a problem they would go to other worlds, and continue the cycle again and again. This went on for thousands upon thousands of years until they managed to bump into the true wishing granting pokemon, Jirachi. It was an odd yet awkward union as they spoke together about wishes since Avkash lied in order to do good in the world by being able to “grant” wishes to others. But Jirachi or Tamna, a self given name, didn’t seem to be too bothered by this. Instead, they saw the good in the Hoopa’s heart, and made an effort to teach them different ways to make wishes come true instead of lying about them.
As the two spent more time together they grew close, and continued to grow closer with one another. Soon, it had been many centuries doing almost everything together. It was just an oddly natural dynamic between the both of them as Avkash always opted to go where Tamna went and vice versa. The duo had grown so close Avkash felt as if Tamna was their other half, and couldn’t bare the idea of ever being apart from them, so Avkash eventually proposed the idea of getting married… and they did just that! They were inseparable for the longest time until Avkash decided to go into a portal one day to retrieve one of Tamna’s favorite flowers as a sweet gift. Said flower grew in a different universe thus meaning they needed to leave… it was only supposed to be for a little while, but fate had other plans.
The world Avkash went to to pick the flowers despised their Hoopa as that Hoopa was power hungry, and a trickster. Said Hoopa tortured the humans, and pokemon that lived in that world for anything their heart desired until they grew bored and laid waste to the lands they briefly inhabited. The people and pokemon had enough of this torture and created a bottle to keep the intended evil Hoopa stuck in a small prison for as long as possible, but they sadly got the wrong mon.
Avkash was quickly captured once the humans and pokemon managed to catch him by surprise, and locked him away into what they called a Prison Bottle. Its intent is clear with its name, as its purpose is to keep the evil Hoopa they thought they captured sealed away for many years, or possibly even centuries. Eons had passed as Avkash was trapped in this tiny prison, and had been placed in some underground temple to make sure no person or pokemon could find them. The loneliness… was toture…
Avkash had no idea how much time had truly passed, but it felt like an eternity as they waited many many years for something, someone, some mon to let him free from the prison they did not deserve to be in. Worst of all, they missed Tamna so much, and felt their heart grow heavy knowing Tamna didn’t know where they could’ve gone after being gone for so long. The Jirachi probably assumed Avkash ran off for selfish reasons, or even worse, had died from something they couldn’t avoid. In reality Tamna never thought these things, but being stuck in the bottle for countless years had poisoned Avkash’s state of mind to the point of paranoia. And, to be stuck with no one, but your mind for so long you tend to succumb to terrible thoughts easier….
A millenia has passed, and the underground tomb they were under had grown weak from age. So did the tales of Hoopa, and its ability to grant wishes to those who find it and befriend it. This caused explorers to go to the tomb to find the bottle Avkash was trapped within to free them, but the tomb was lined with many traps. This would cause a good sum of the explorers to flee, or perish to an unsavory fate. Many tried, many failed, but one day one person succeeded and made it to where the Prison Bottle rested. This human, savvy to the traps, knew the bottle wouldn’t be easy to get as it seemed it was intended to keep any life trying to get it out, or lay to rest within the tomb forever. Quick as a flash the human avoided trap triggers, solved a few puzzles, and made it inches to where the bottle rested. Them, knowing how common weighted traps were, swapped the bottle with a bag of sand of equal weight, and silently cheered to themselves before fleeing the tomb in one piece. Once they’d made it out of the ancient tomb they knew what they were going to do next. They opened the bottle, and soon let the poke-djinn free from its thousand year slumber.
Soon the Hoopa was once again free into the world, and was met by the shock of freedom. They eyed the world around them in awe, and tears as they hadn’t done so in such a long time. Avkash was so overcome by this sense of freedom they had completely ignored the human that let them free for a good while before said human had to snap the Hoopa back into reality.
“Excuse me, legend says you can grant wishes, right? Well I freed you from this bottle, and would like a wish or two granted! Seems fair since I free you from this little glass prison!” the human boasted a bit.
Avkash glances over at the human, and doesn’t hesitate to speak telepathically towards them. “I’ll grant you three wishes for freeing me, but… in order to do so you must give me that bottle first” they pointed to it, and eyed it with an intense anger… that bottle was the reason why they couldn’t escape.
“Is that all? Alright, well here you go!” The human gave Hoopa the bottle along with the topper that came with it, and was surprised with what the pokemon did next.
The bottle was thrown onto the ground in glass bits, but Avkash didn’t stop there. They continued to break the glass pieces, into smaller pieces with their psychic abilities in an unbridaled rage. The prison took away everything from them, and they wouldn’t ever let that happen again! Once Avkash had calmed down the area around them was in shambles, and there was no trace left of the bottle thanks to their anger against it. They were shocked by how much damage they did to the forest area around them, and as they continued to look around they realized the human was nowhere in sight. Their heart sank once they realized this, and assumed the worst… did they… kill the human during their fit of rage? Before their mind was overcome by darkness the human had popped out of a hiding spot. It seemed the human was smart enough to get away from danger, and had waited for the Hoopa to settle down before going back to it.
“You…really did not like that bottle, huh?” The human laughs nervously as they eye the destruction briefly before looking back at the Hoopa, and seems a bit more cautious of the pokemon now. “Is…is it still possible for you to grant my three wishes, powerful one?”
Avkash sighs in relief to see them alive and well before slowly nodding towards the human. “I was trapped in that bottle for a long time… I don’t want to lose my freedom again.” They clear their throat before nodding again. “I can still grant your wishes, what do you wish for?” Avkash knows they can’t really grant wishes, but if they can fake it and leave to go look for Tamna? That was good enough for them.
“Alright, I wish to be taken back home, secondly I wish to be the richest being in the world, and lastly, I wish to be the most attractive person alive!” The human said these things rather wholeheartedly towards the poke-djinn.
Avkash was ataken back by having all three wishes spewed out like that, but all three wishes were accomplishable strangely enough. First, they read the human’s thoughts to know where they lived before teleporting them to their home, secondly they used one of their hoops to make a diemension, and pulled out a lot of money out of it and dropped it into the human's home. Once Avkash had dumped enough money into the home they put their hoop back onto their body, and focused on the human’s entire being. They casted a spell of sorts similar to the ability ‘Cute Charm’, meaning any human this one came into contact with will find them attractive regardless of this universe’s standards. They bow to the human, and quickly leave by hopping into one of its hoop portals to get away from the human.
That was it… they were free! They could go find Tamna, and bring happiness to their life once again! But, it’s been so long since they’ve been with the Jirachi that they didn’t know where to even look at first, but this did not deter the Hoopa!
Instead, Avkash decided to go dimension jumping through its rings, and would try to sense their Jirachi’s presents within the alternate worlds they would jump into. They passed through many worlds, many similar alternate realities, and it took them many years just to mark down a fraction of the infinite worlds Jirachi was not in. This went on for a long while, another thousand years or so… Avkash lost count after 500 years of searching for his partner. It seems that their only purpose now was the routine of searching for their Jirachi, Tamna, and sensing if their presents were in any of the worlds they hopped into. They were free now, but they were trapped in a cycle…were they truly free? They began to question that until one day everything changed.
As Avkash was making their usual round of going through their rings, sensing for Tamna, and crossing out a world they were not on. They hopped through their 12th world of the day, and started up the cycle again of sensing their partner, but this time they felt something. A little spark of aura that felt very familiar, it felt like Tamna’s.
The Hoopa was moved to tears sensing it, and quickly used its powers to teleport to their partner. But, there was a bit of a problem with that initially. Since Avkash was so overwhelmed with emotions at that moment, and had been in a cycle of traveling across so many worlds for so long their rings had malfunctioned. Instead of opening a ring to their partner it opened a ring to another world, in their confusion they tried closing the portal by taking the ring away. The ring was taken away, but… it left behind a ghost copy, and the copy multiplied fast. So much so the portals took over the area they were in. Or a forest to be more precise, Avkash did their best to try and close these portals, but they didn’t know what to do after so many trials and errors! They were getting desperate, and still had Tamna on their mind, but they needed to fix their mistake first before going back to their love. So, the Hoopa tried to seek our help within the forest by asking for help from some pokemon, most declined to offer aid until the Hoopa ran into a couple of strange yet powerful pokemon. Team Rocket they called themselves.. Odd, but it couldn’t hurt to ask for help, right?
Avkash introduced themself, explained everything, and how they needed help closing these rogue ghost portals as they were causing trouble for the inhabitants of this world. Once they finished explaining the rocketmons looked to one another in silent shock before talking amongst themselves, and soon introduced themselves further to the Hoopa as Diamonds and Quartzs in charge of their sector of Team Rocket. They said they would help Avkash, but in trade Avkash would need to offer aid during this whole process. The Hoopa wholeheartedly agreed to help the odd mons, and followed them back to the Rocket Hideout and also explained things to the recruits of the hideout as well to help them get the gist of things.
As time went on Avkash did keep their end of the deal, and helped in whatever way they could by how the portals came to be and what they already did to try and close them. But, the Hoopa got curious, and asked around if they could be shown areas of the hideout to get better acquainted with it. That, and they were just downright curious about how this place ran and their request was met. They saw the shops, bunks, cafeteria, and many more places the hideout had established within itself, but there was one last place they had not been shown yet. The Wishing Well… the name struck Avkash as odd, and they asked one of the recruits who was running such a place and was told a Jirachi was. Avkash was shocked to say the least, and remembered he had sensed Tamna before in this world. Maybe this Jirachi was their partner? They took a moment to sense out for them, and was met with a strong and familiar aura of Tamna and it felt like they were very very close by.
In Avkash’s quiet excitement he politely asked if the recruit from before could take them to the place where Jirachi resided, and soon enough the recruit took them to the Wishing Well to explain how it worked and why Jirachi was there. The Jirachi soon popped out of the well once they heard voices to greet them, but instead of a greeting the spychic type froze in place
Avkash was frozen in place as well once they saw Tamna the love of their life, the being they waited 2,000 or so years just to see them again.
“Tamna…” The Hoopa called out towards their partner.
Tamna, with eyes suddenly filled with tears, croaked back their partner’s name. “Avkash…”
The both of them quickly embraced one another, and cried tears of joy once they united after so long and reignited a love they both knew so well.
Once emotions had settled down Avkash had explained themselves, and how they’d managed to get Rocket Hideout to Tamna. It was a wild tale to say the least, but the Hoopa was relieved that the Jirachi held no anger for them and instead had just dearly missed them like Avkash did.
The Hoopa was intent on never leaving their partner’s side again, so instead of taking Tamna away from a place they’ve grown attached to Avkash instead decided to stay within the hideout, and signed up quickly once they’d helped solve the portal issue they caused.
