may 12 1940, a Belgian Renard 31 is on photo reconaissance mission over the Netherlands during the German invasion of the low countries, escorted by 3 Fiat Falco's. a German Do 17 comes across them and gets some fighter ambitions, attacking from the sun he dives onto the Belgians, Lieutenant de Merode spots him and reacts quickly, shooting down the German bomber. the Belgian Falco's would score an impressive 28 kills against not a single loss in the air, there were only 22 of them in Belgian service. by the end of the battle of france all of them had either been destroyed on the ground, or destroyed by their own crews before surrendering.
