It's trees. Ummm...can't think of anything really interesting or not completely obvious about this one.

This is part of a series of small painting I did of the alphabet. As you might guess there is one for each letter of the alphabet. I attempted to pick subjects that were not always the first thing you thought of with a particular letter, to varying degrees of success. I also tried to avoid proper names and particular places.

I started working on these because I really wanted to get back into painting. By doing these in a small size and with such a varied group of subjects, by nature of the series, I figured it would give me some excellent practice to get back into the swing of things.

Each letter is on a ATC sized piece of paper(2.5in. x 3.5in.) They are all painted using watercolor and the letter outlines are done with a dip pen and waterproof calligraphy ink.

As normal with traditional work that is scanned the colors are a little off but I tried to fix as best I could in photoshop without messing with everything too much. Generally speaking the colors are a bit more intense, brighter and a little darker. For a picture of all the letters together for a better idea of true colors and overall look...[link]
