..for an animated version of my DMT experience, and a 5 minute interview with visionary artist Alex Grey in which I ask via email of the spiritual danger of encountering wrathful Entities.
1190x1220 mm Reverse Backlit transparency in 2001.
created from a blank canvas in photoshop.
This image was inspired from my first unnatural encounter with the spirit molecule. An Entity that seemed extremely real and intelligent appeared before me with terrific precision and speed. It dissipated as soon as I imposed my will upon it. Many people have told me they have seen and felt Entities similar to this representation, it seems to be archetypally inherent within our inner domains.
Below is my first DMT experience
I was in a group of 6 people, inside at night time. The only light source was a candle in the centre of the room, and we were all around it. Anthony just had a huge dose, he did prana breathing with his dose and I was shaking with excitement... a full body shake that I could not control. Now it was my turn.
'Gastro' held the glass bong with the glass pipe attached, he lit it carefully making sure not to fully vaporise it, he said.
'NOW!'
I inhaled as much as I could stand; it was instantly a shock, very harsh and strangely tasty, very concentrated, smelt exactly like a certain type of concentrated Chinese Jasmine tea. As I took in my second inhalation, I witnessed a very strange visual effect. The glass bong pipe and my hands rushed away into the distance and the background
view of the floor came straight for me.
The movie 'Contact' does the same effect brilliantly when Jodie Foster is in the sphere during her dimension jump. It got to the point where I knew I wouldn't be able to hold the bong-pipe. 'Gastro' took it off me and I sat back,
looking around the room. I looked straight at the
candle, which was separating before my eyes, two images of the candle was on either side of it, two different colours, the light I was perceiving in my visual field was separating. As I looked around the room a bit more, I saw the same effect happen everywhere, there was three images of everything, all slightly overlaying each other and transparent. I looked at 'Gastro' in astonishment and remember smiling, I could see him clearly, but also could perceive moving energy segments of brilliant colour all over his skin and bone structure of his face. I managed to push myself back in a last effort and lay back. About 15 seconds had passed since my second toke.
I know that I was having an intense revelation, one that I can not talk about here, but one I remember every time I use DMT, the revelation was one of Ultimate Realness, that is all I can say. The visuals I definitely recall with utmost clarity.
I closed my eyes and focused immediately into the distance, it was very clear, crystalline and symmetric yet totally organic. Out of the terrifyingly complex colours and patterns emerged and formed an entity that sneered at me, grinning wildly with two piercing eyes, it was free floating and fractalising. Swirling arms and appendages formed out of its now more solid ethereal body of light.
I sensed or imagined that smaller invisible beings were slicing me up across the chest and stomach with laser sharp instruments, it was painful, but somewhat acceptable and bearable. In retrospect, this was perhaps the DMT vapour touching my lung pathways. The Entity formed greater within my closed eye visual perception and was growing more menacing, I felt it trying to attach it self to me, or get inside me somehow. I did what I felt had to do. I mentally said and intended the thought 'COME ON THEN!' and threatened back at it what it was doing to me. With this, it started to dissipate, in the reverse way that it had formed. As it subsided away back into the colourful patterns and geometrics I pleaded with it to come back, but it had gone.
The first thing I communicated to the group was 'Carry on' then I said, with conviction,
'There's no such thing as fiction'
It was a truly life changing event, from this moment on, I realised that sorcery and shamanism was based upon direct personal experiences and that all of them had truth behind them.
It was exhibited in Los Angeles at the 3 day 'ThirdEyeGathering' event in 2004, Outback Eclipse Festival in South Australia in Dec 2002, Rainbow serpent in Victoria 2004 and 2009 and various other psy-trance parties around Adelaide

i wanted to thank the creator so very very much! on my first experience with DMT i saw two of the figures, one on each side of my peripheral vision. i do believe it was a slight variation, but when i first saw it i recognized it instantly.
my experience is up on youtube, although the video is set to private. if you're interested in seeing it, message my ass via a youtube account (my UN is xlovenuggetx) and i'll allow access!!!! thanks again man.
peace and love.

Yes that definetely looks like a DMT entity. I think it's really cool that your question was answered by Alex Grey. I recently met him and I got to talk to him for a little bit, and I spoke with him about my experience with DMT... and he said "Up until that point, what you thought was real,, is not real anymore"
IT cant get more true than that, my friends.
Thank you for sharing this. It's pretty hard to materalize anything from a DMT experience, esecially visually... and even an entity for that matter, unless you have serious skill. You, my friend, are one with serious skill. Thank you again.

will love to hear about it. It still amazes me that a 3 minute experience can have such an impact so many years later. I feel like i was blocked off from having a full blown experience, like my awareness was not suitable for what was behind the guardian. Another thought was simply that i didn't have enough DMT to break though completely

I can only remember so little from my experience. It felt like a really powerful and strong dream. It was over so soon and the only thing I can remember is the eyes and shapes with colors.
All and all awesome picture man.

hey cheers, yea there is an overwhelming feeling that it is too fleeting and intense to stay aware and remember the details, here's some great advice from Alex Grey, where i posed the question to him about the experience live on radio..

great work. this is actually the first artistic depiction of the effects of dmt i ever saw, i went looking for dmt artwork after my first experience. theres not much out there, and this is still one of the best i've seen, not an easy experience to pin down visually.

maan, yours takes the cake I feel.
heheh cool, yea i did the same, searching online for art, there was hints at some, but none named directly DMT. the only ones I found were in deoxy.org website graphics.
Ernst Fuchs and Robert Venosa are two that had conveyed experiences a while back, a few months after my artwork, Alex grey did his version of an ayahuasca experience.
i have part of an animated version I've done, when I finish my website i'll resume work on the DMT experience, mixed in will be a 5 minute answer Alex Grey gave to a question I asked via email on live radio. I feel since its been years since my rather small and not-high-enough-dose experience, that truth-ness has been lost a bit in my mind, but man, it was so true.

yeah i trolled around deoxy.org for a while after i found it too, cool imagery but not really what i was looking for.
i had never heard of ernst fuchs or robert venosa before, thanks for naming them, their work is incredible. yeah i think alex grey hit the nail on the head with his dmt depictions though. that must have been cool to hear alex answer a question of yours, how long till your website is done? i'd be interested in checking the animation out at least.
yeah my dose was relativley small too, i'd love to try it again one day, but it's so hard to find. one good thing was it opened my mind enough that sometimes - s-o-m-e-times i can induce a mild dmt like state when i meditate. it's mostly the physical experience and the mental oneness with the universe, very mild visuals though. dmt doesnt just open doors, it blows open the floodgates, lol.

I try. Currently I'm working on becoming a better visionary artist through the use of many mediums. I saw your cow film and thought it was great. I'm currently trying to tech myself to use Blender, an open source 3D animation and rendering package. DMT, it's like being let in on the biggest secret of all that is, glad to see your work. Have you seen "Blueberry" released in the US as "Renegade"?

The director of Blueberry made a documentary about him going to the amazon and taking the brew. A lot of the animation is very similar to Blueberry. Rick Strassman wrote a book called "DMT: The Spirit Molecule" a fascinating book of which they are currently making a movie of. Once you go there everything changes.
Thanks

the DMT i took was intense beyond belief and i comehow got 7 tokes in before it took me completely, into it's dimension of surrealism. machine elves were playing catch with me with a shapeshifting object of brilliant colours and light all saying "let's play" over and over. owl looking creature were floating as if they were feeding off the vibrations of the "land" (which is the only thing i can call it, to be honest) then i was confronted by a praying mantis-like 6 armed creature that told me "nothing is real, all is imagined, everything, sentience is a lie" i still can't get it's words outta my head, makes me wonder so much, crazy shit. the last thing i remember seeing were loud bizarre constantly shifting fractal images of what looked like the elves homes, swirling into vortexes, as they disentegrated as if they were becoming one with their homes once more . the last thing i heard was "let's play again, soon" as i came back to reality. i want to do DMT again so badly.

Very beautiful piece of art.
I think it's very skillfull of you to produce a artwork that looks very much like the real thing.
I think it's also very good that you can bring this picture up in so much detail! I myself tried to draw the creatures I saw during my last dmt experience. The image of the creatures is very clear in my head, but when I try to describe them or draw them I just can't seem to get it out properly.
Yet again, great piece of artwork and +fav!

hey, i wound up looking at these comments because the above picture reminded me the most of a real dmt visual out of the stuff that came up when i searched "dmt" your description is similar to what happened to me (I have only done it once as well) All I can add is that I would recommend this drug espescially to suicidal people as it is the closest experience to actually dying that we may be able to have while still alive.

excellent, yep im so glad the search feature was finally fixed in deviantart, a few years back when i first wanted to search for DMT inspired art it was harder, the next step is to finish an animated version for youtube, i'll let you know about it. and yep i agree with you about suicidal people, it may make them realise that the pain they feel does not end when they go for death, but instead follows with them. spooky!
