Boy, do i have a treat for you guys today.
Was looking for my ID pas in my room that i lost, when i stumbled upon yet another old archive cd.
A handfull of moviesi made in the past are doomed, including 2 sonic movies, but one is recovered, and tonight i quickly finished the movie, from the gollum attack till the end including voice acting. WHEEE..
Basicly, it's both a sonic adventure 2 spoof as a sonic adventure in 3 minutes movie...well not 3 minutes, but 3 minutes and 15 seconds.. and 30 seconds end credits.. so more 4 mintutes.. ah well.. hyper speed, im afraid you need to watch it twice to see it all, and it's usefull if you played the game, or the story is even more confusing.
yes, i know i said i wouldn't make a new sonic movie till sonic movie madness 3.3 was finished, but this isn't techniqually a new one, it's actually 2 years old now.. embrace the old ugly graphics.. embrace them.. okay, i drank to much coffee again to be able to finish it in one day.. im gonna be sick tomorrow.. well enjoy :S

That is so funny. And seriously, how can they mistake Shadow for Sonic? They are so obviously different. The only thing they share basically are height and weight. It's impossible to mistake them. (unless you're an idiot or you're colorblind and deaf, and even then, it's still almost impossible.) That is hilarious. The subs really helped too. I love it!

Colour blinded only have trouble with red and green.
Sonic's blue and Shadow black, so even colourer blinded have an excuse.
I guess humans in Sonic's world are like the inhabitants of Isle delfino in Mario sunshine.

Life's so simple if your logic is simple, and heroes never complain and do whatever chores you give them anyway.

I guess since they're both male hedgehogs. It sucks for the heroes that they never seem to get a break. Maybe they should have a day when all the heroes get a break and the normal people take care of their own problems.

I don't know what is more hilarious: this particular flash of yours or all the people that claim both SA and SA2 to be the ultimate end of any quality in Sonic games.....forever....( or, how they tend to put it, "2D Sonic games sucked due to being Mario rip-off, yet they were ultimate joy compared to any of the further Sonic games"..)

Eh? Don't remember many peopel saying the 2d sonic games sucked compared to the 3d ones. Tough I love adventure 1 and 2, it's more nostaligic reasons then their quality. I anticpated the games for a long time, and when they got out I enjoyed playing them. While all 2d sonic games were already there when I wanted to try them, so didn't cause me much anticipation (except SOnic cd and 3 and knuckles that took me some time to aquire, and as such are high on my Game list too) while the post adventure 2 games weren't all that fun, untill I started to enjoy them more for how bad they were then how fun, like with Shadow.
The old Sonic games were Mario rip off? Really? Strange thing to say. In that case, all platformers are. I hate it more when games start ripping of Mario 64, in specific, the elements of Mario 64 that weren't all that fun to begin with, like playing the same levels over and over and over again.

Nah, I have on my watchlist a couple of people that tend to write elaborates on how Sonic is the root of all evil in the gaming world. Whole "Sonic=Mario's rip-off" thing is something I came across at least three times in such rants. Basically, authors claim that they have played three first Sonic games only, and only because it seemed to be some sort of semi-decent Mario clone (why the 'similarity'? Both started off as 2D platform games where you collect shiny things to surive and combat enemies by jumping on them---that is their definition of entire 'rip-off' issue within first Sonic games). But that is the beginning of all their speeches about the history of SEGA's mascot. When Sonic and co. moved from 2D checkered sceneries to 3D 'serious' towns/ruins/etc enviroment these insightful critics declared utter failure of the franchise. Suddenly those hated 2D games became fallen gods to rant-writers while every further change with every released game was automatically 'the worst thing ever made': "Sonic's black-red rival? Ultimate fail! Cat princess that hurls fire? Ultimate fail! Sexy bat? Ultimate fail! Guy from the future that throws stuff withthe power of ESP? Ultimate fail! Werehog? Ult.....ermmmm....ah, yes! Ultimate fail!" Et caetera, Ad infinitum........
I'm more than sure you too got the chance to witness similar.......ugh......"Reviews". I wonder why such people have not died due to heart attack yet given how their hatred towards everything new in Sonic rises with every new game...

Reminds me of a hate review of Sonic adventure 1 that amused me, "this game is exactly like the first genesis game! Nothing changed!"
Yeah, other then the whole 3d gameplay, towns to wander into, minigames, 6 characters, actual story, trial missions, elaborate boss fights and...well, everythign, the game is still exactly the same. it doens't deserve to exist!
The guy's favorite game at the time was Tekken 3, now pray tell me the diffrence between Tekken 5 and Tekken 1? more characters, better graphics, more refined movements, ha, still the same as the first game!
Heck all videogames are exactly the same as Pong, you press a button and something happens! All games besides Pong should be banished!

It gets more amusing when such critique receives a backup in the form of having no info about reviewed product at all.
We are 'blessed' to have a guy that is the perfect embodiement of this issue. This particular person is a film director (to make speech about his career short: almost no one has ever watched his "movies". This does not discourage him, as he keeps saying that people are too dumb to be his audience) and a fim critic. He became famous for reviewing "300" and his elaborate goes like this: "To be honest, I have not watched even one preview of this movie, as I could not care less. However, I think......[ yeah, now he throws detailed review of the movie he knows entirely from its name]......That is why I think people wouldn't waste their time for such lame films as this one if they could have chosen to watch my productions!"
Nice, huh? Too bad that evry Sonic game receives at least one review like this....Eeeeeh..

Tough I'm more interested in the stupid non sense on the back of the cover. Especially loved the bulletpoints for Megaman X8; "This time, you can defeat the bosses in any order, and take over their weapons!"

"10 levels to explore!" Hmm, the game.. wait, what? 10 levels! I thought this game sucked, but it has 10 levels! Wow, then it must be a good game!
And more hilarious, when they turn every noun into a plural. I was disapointed with Harry Potter and the secret chamber when the box promised me "See how our wizard flies with flying cars to school to fight enormous snakes and solve the riddles of the petrified students!" when Harry didn't have control over an entire fleet of flying cars to battle an army of snakes.

Well, box cover design is vital in terms of marketing and simple distribution, yet awful game can nullify all the efforts in this area. After all, these are not non-cd merchandise where failing external appearance equals all the fail possible ( like in the case of these [link] ).
As for the box info, I thank you kindly for noticing this realm as after your post I had enjoyable hours spent on reading all the nonsense on the back of my share of games..
My brother studies economy and marketing so he was able to provide me with so much needed proof of the rumours about tactics used in bringing product to the market. It turns out that in terms of, for instance, box covers, almost 90% of key designers have never actually been involved in experiencig particular game, meaning that everything they write on the box is engineered wikipedia info, carried out as if it happened for the first time in history. That way you can read on almost every RPG box "contains new complex battle & magic system" while almost all RTS games have "lead your army to victory in the ultimate conflict!" (Good Lord! Every season=new armageddon! 
Ahhh... by chance I got to watch again this HP movie as a christmas special... It sure was splendid how quidditch match included more cosmic sounds than any of the Star Wars movies, how every single "HP only" fancy word was highlighted up to the point of escaping being normal, usual particle of communication in this world. It was also fun to see how the unusual enviroment described in book turns out to be in scenography...
