Description
currently in the works of making my own Pyro oc, Casey. I’ve been thinking about her for quite awhile, and finally got around to creating some drawings of her.
Casey is my own rendition of an unmasked pyro. I’m tossing around some ideas for her backstory, but what I have so far is:-
- Due to an incident at a young age which caused the burn scar on her shoulder, she became deathly afraid of fire. To help her try to calm the anxiety the incident gave her, as well as help with her fear of fire, her father created the Pyrovision goggles, which changed something she was frightened of into something bright and colourful, and changed the world she was paranoid of into a wonderland of things she enjoyed the most at that age.
-This worked, and she adored the land she could now see, however it backfired when, in her naivety, she caused a catastrophic fire which killed both her parents in the process.
-Following this, however, she rarely took the goggles off, which eventually caused her to develop schizophrenia. This in turn caused the cute creatures of the pyroland to appear as hallucinations when she had her goggles off, tricking her into thinking what she saw in pyroland was real to a certain extent, making her completely oblivious to the actual damage she was causing.
-In the current state of time, she is actually aware that the things she sees is not real after one of her lenses broke mid-battle in a scuffle with the BLU Scout. The realisation of what she was actually doing horrified her, causing her to become afraid and shut down.
-However, with help from her team she has been able to come to terms with what she was doing and find beauty in the fire she once feared.
I’m happy to have finally gotten around to digitalising her! I haven’t gone super in-depth with many OC’s before, so any feedback and criticism is appreciated!
