Description

Beginning paragraph (Written by @/NickCola)

Echo and ethan  set out on their exciting adventure together.  the weather pickes up periodically through the hours. Ethan's clattering teeth become louder than the heavy snowfall around them. Ethan weighs in with a heavy decision. He asks his companion to stay behind. The journey was to be rough and he couldn't risk his friend getting hurt on such a journey. after several minutes of coaxing, Ethan relented, and headed back the way they'd came.

The weather worsens.

Echo made the right decision, they knew that the temperature would begin to decrease the higher they went. Echo continued up the mountain with much more determination than before, after Ethan had left. Echo noticed the change in weather and fished around in their bag for a hoodie, they eventually found it and put it on, zipping the zipper up all the way. They didn’t feel too cold in the first place, but decided to put the hoodie on incase there was another drastic change in the weather.

After a couple hours of slightly hovering over the snow with occasional brakes, Echo reaches a curve around a wall of snow. They hesitate, but goes around the snow, there’s a house? From this distance, it’s hard to tell. Echo approaches the building but gets distracted by something sticking out of the thick snow. It looks similar to a pinecone, but a light pinkish color. Echo picks up the prickly looking object and examines it. Oh, of course! It’s a Pineberry! Echo had never tried one before. Curious, they took a bite. It tasted.. Odd, but refreshing, they consumed the rest of it. Echo suddenly feels a weird feeling of extra strength and energy. Maybe it’s from the Pineberry.

Echo continued to approach the building in the distance, slowly figuring out what it was about. There was another gorgi at the building. “Ayy, over here!” the gorgi excitedly yelled across the the snow. Echo didn’t recognize the man but still headed over to him and the building.

“You must be freezing!” He said worryingly. “Come on inside, my wife will get you some warm soup!” “I’m not too cold, I can handle the cold easily!” Echo replied. He opened the door anyways and gestured for Echo to step inside. “Make yourself at home” the man kindly said. Echo walked in and hesitantly sat down on a chair close to the door. The gorgi’s wife came into the room with a tray and 3 bowls filled with steaming soup. “Oh, another visitor! Perfect, the soup is ready right on time!” She placed the tray down on the table and carefully handed Echo a bowl of warm soup.

“So... do you guys live here?” Echo asked the couple.

“Yes, we do! We can handle the cold and we love helping the gorgis’ adventures up the mountain!” The gorgi’s wife said cheerfully. *Thump* All of a sudden there was a loud thump that seemed to come from the other room, no one seemed to notice it apart from Echo. “What was that?” Echo questioned.

“Ohh, it’s probably just one of the Suups in the back!” The man said. It seemed louder than a normal Suup. “Do you guys own a Rider Suup?” Echo wondered. Trying to take a peek without being noticed.

“Well, we actually breed Rider Suups! We sometimes have gorgis come up here to buy some from us!” The lady stated. “Yep, we breed them to be tough in these types of weather's.” The man followed. “Would you like to take a look at them?”

“I'd love to!” Echo ecstatically agreed. They stood up and followed the man into the back of the house which led to an outside farm-like area. “Woah!” Echo was amazed at how large and the quantity of Suups there were. They were all much larger than normal Suups, so they were all Rider Suups for sure! “Why don’t you take an even closer look?” The lady opened the gate for Echo and followed them inside the large fenced off area.

All the Suups seemed hesitant to approach Echo, apart from one. This one Suup was a light, pastel orange color, this one started moving towards Echo. Instinctively, Echo reached out to pat it’s head. “I think this one likes you!” the man said. Echo continued to pat the Suup, “Could I maybe buy this one off you?”

“Sure, that one is 4 Coins.” The man said kindly. Echo dug around in their bag for a bit, before retrieving the required coins and handed the coins over. “Thanks kiddo, they’re yours now!” He leads Echo out the back gate with their new Suup. “Thanks again, and good luck making it to the top! I suggest taking some breaks, maybe have a snack or start a fire along the way.”

Echo and their new Suup head off, while walking Echo notices the Suup feeling comfortable around them. All of a sudden, the Suup starts changing color, from its original pastel orange to a glowing yellow color, similar to Echo’s gore! The Suup must of already bonded to Echo! Echo pats it’s head and carefully climbs on the saddle. They start walking up more of the hill for what feels like a couple hours. Echo pats the Suup’s head, to tell it to stop, and climbed down. They had stopped at a cave-like area that was a wall of snow with a sort of roof to cover them from any weather events. Echo brought the Suup over to the shelter, and left it there to look for some firewood to get a fire going.

They gathered some wood from nearby trees, Echo brought it all back to the sheltered area where the Suup sat. They placed the wood in a dry, sheltered place and brushed off the snow. Everything seemed fine, but what was Echo going to use to light the fire in the first place? The searched the area, scanning the ground for anything they could use. That’s it! A rock-like object half buried in the snow caught Echo’s attention. Maybe that’d work like flint! Echo brought the rock back to the sheltered area and grabbed a knife from their bag.

Echo started trying for a spark over the wood by striking the rock with the knife, each time making a bigger spark than the last. Eventually Echo managed to gain a large enough flame for it to catch on to the wood and keep the fire going. “Fewww, that’s done! We can stay here for a bit while I eat.” Echo said to the Suup-
