when Meteora attacked Butterfly Castle, Astraeus and Roland teamed up to stop her. Astraeus then push Roland away for Cyal to catch him and carry him away from the battel, Roland wanted to stay and fight, but Cyal told Roland that Astraeus ask her to take him away if things got out of hand.

Astraeus then tried using the Cosmic Shine against Meteora, but instead of her absorbing his Soul, she injured him, damaging his left stomach, his injury cause the Cosmic Shine to turn him into a form of a weak skinny old man.

Astraeus then stayed at Butterfly Castle to keep an eye on Mina as they had some what of a history, and trys to keep her from doing anything crazy "without success"... he then was found by moon, she wanted to help Astraeus as he was far too weak to do anything. moon then convinces Astraeus to come with her to stay at the mewman camp.
