Description another old art, really old, like before 2003 old. It's of one of many millions of characters, Neela. This was before I discovered Futurama, so I wasn't copying anything with her name. I thought about changing her name cuz it's too similar to Leela, but I think I'll just keep it. I'm used to that name, I dunno.

She's part of a comic idea that has changed so much since I first made it, and it was originally inspired by Dragon Ball Z, actually. Not with the fighting bullshit but the idea of there being dragon balls scattered around the Earth, and you have to find each one. So her and a bunch of other characters join up, and they would even battle other characters for the swords they were seeking, a lot like in Pokemon. Ya, I watched a lot of animes like that when I was a kid, and while I despise anime with a passion now, I still have a soft spot in my heart for the ones that i really liked, especially the ones meant for boys like DBZ. And Pokemon is probably a shounen anime, but it's certainly entertaining for girls, too. And I call myself Misty because of Misty in Pokemon!

I thought about scrapping the project, but kept it, and a lot of it has been absorbed in other comics. There's a lot to fix.

Neela was a very strong character, pretty mannish and controlling. And able to do magic. Her parents are a unicorn and a Pegasus, but they couldn't stay together except in hiding because both species are at war. her parents gave her the power to shape shift into this human like form for an easier life, because they had to leave her almost alone, with creatures watching her in the forest, but still, she had a hard life.

Neela is actually one of my favorite names, I was planning to give to my daughter if I ever get one^^ Though, it's pronounced differently in Finnish. Did you know it comes from a hindu name Neelam that means blue saphire? It also means dark, black and blue, so I have the feeling it could fit here^^

Well, you were older in 2003 so I don't mind that you were so good, I was only 13 and sucked in everything. But this still is rather impressive, love the positin and things around her, like magic. Have to love it.

I didn't know that about that name! Well, I will definitely keep it now, thank you! I wonder how it would sound in Finnish!

aww you make me sound old! But I am 5 years older than you, aren't I? lol wow. I dont' feel any older.

lol I remember my mother yelling at me to cover that up, because I was working on it in the hotel room with my siblings around, because of the boobs. My dad didn't seem to agree that I should hide it, but he did not argue back with her. He just grinned and shrugged, like he does with anything disagreeable.

I'm really trying to figure out how to get example that would explain the pronounciation... hmmm, well the "e" is same than in words get, fed, led etc. but it's pronounced long Nee-la. Or something like that, it's hard to explain when written, it would be easier to just say it^^

this doesn't even show boobs any more than any tv-show, so, kinda useless to cover it^^Though, I might have covered this from my relatives too, but only because they wouldnt understand the meaning^^

so like "nay-la"?

ya my mom is such a fucking prude. when we'd watch movies with sex scenes, even ones that don't show anything at all, she would fast forward or change the channel till it was over if the kids were watching. We were very sexually repressed at home.

Well, that's closer, but the "e" should be long, sinse there is two letters. This is again one of those things when it's important do you say one or two "e"'s ^^

I never had any problem with sexual stuff at home since basically no one cared about that sort of things. Mom nor dad never checked how late I went to bed or how much I watched violense and sex from TV. I dunno did that make any worse person but at least if I had to cover my art it was normally from other reasons than sexual stuff^^

I was thinking about how you explained to pronounce Neela, and I really like it! I think I might change it to be more like that, it sounds better I think.

man, you're lucky. Well, some people say that parents that don't pay attention or restrict you are actually neglecting you, but come on. If you're smart enough to think for yourself, why should you put up with parents stopping you?

ugh I have ot hide my art all the time. I would sh y mom pics that I thought were really good and she'd point out a flaw and be generally condescending. And nowadays, my friend will make fun of me for it, which is a lot better than what my mom did, but I am very sensitive to it, so I have ot always watch to make sure he doesn't sneak around the corner while I"m doing an epic slash pic lol

I don't know was I harmed because of the neglecting or not, I'm not sure would I let my own kids to do all the stuff I was allowed without supervision, but I think I'm pretty sane, so, guess it was ok. Though I got horrible nightmares of mummies because my dad let me watch mummiehorrorfilms too young, that was rather hard to get over with xD

Getting ridiculed isn't good, critisims is completely different thing than laughing. I don't really point out flaws in anyone's work even if I think there is one, especially in internet, it will easily sound like knowing all. And anyway, I don't think it's necessary to point out things I don't ike unless I'm specially asked to do so. My siter always insults everything I do, but she's my sis, she can beat me as much as she likes^^ Strange thing is that she's always right, if the color is wrong, it is wrong, if it looks strange, it is strange, etc^^

well if you were harmed form the neglect, you seem to have helped yourself grow from it. If I did have kids, I wouldn't neglect them, but I think I might go a bit overboard in letting them do and see a lot of things. I would find it hard to say no to a lot of things because I hated being restricted myself.

awww, strange is good though! And it's hard to make something in art look wrong or strange, without it also looking pretty cool because of it!
