It's pretty simple. Heres the steps.

1. Open your image in PS.
2. Make a new layer (layer 2).
3. Make a vector of it on that layer (2).
4. Select the gradient tool with the linear gradient option selecetd.
5. Click "Layers" up in the top menu and go down to "Add layer mask".
6. Click on "Hide all".
7. With the gradient tool selected just click where you want to start the fade
and drag it across.

That's pretty much it. I think I might actually make a tutorial for this with images and stuff. If you got any questions or need help feel free to ask
