Description

My professional training for artists was at the State High School of Fine Arts, Sofia 1979, then the National Academy of Arts 1987, and Specialization at the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris. 1998 – until now Professor in Graphics, Printing methods and techniques at Bulgaria’s National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia.
I don’t realize what had inspired me so much that I got engaged in the process of art-making and art in general. At one point, the very concept of art turned to an obsession and I became aware that nothing is stronger than the creative force behid our actions, thoughts and feeling. To me, this force is the very essence of human spirit and an expression of our desire for freedom.
In 1988 I started with solo and group exhibitions all over the world – New York (USA), Tokyo (Japan), Vienna (Austria), Malaga (Spain), London (England), Belfast (Ireland), Brazil, Marmara (Turkey), Torrelavega (Spain), Madrid (Spain), Sofia (Bulgaria), Samothrace (Greece)… and other…
