I can't believe this is happening... but it has to. It has to come to fruition. The deviation is made in honor of a gut-wrenching event happening at Nintendo that hurts even more than March 31, 2021

If you haven't checked on your social media yet for the past few hours, you may have seen that Nintendo of America has announced on Twitter (or X. Thanks, Elon!) that Charles Martinet, the voice of Super Mario... has officially stepped down from the role. Yes, you heard that right. After voicing the Mr. Video Game himself for nearly 3 decades, Martinet has retired from the role, and has become a Mario Ambassador. And it's not just Mario that he's decided to stop voicing; every other main character in the Mario series that he has voiced, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, and so many others will have new voice actors from Super Mario Bros. Wonder forward.

If you're a Mario fan like me, then please pay your respect for this absolute legend in the comments. Hopefully their new voice actors will carry the legacy Charles started, but for now, all I can say is this: Jump Up, Super Star...
