I've been told many times as an artist to do self portraits every now and then as a way of showing how I've improved over the years so I've decided to do so with gimmicks or themes to make things less bland. The theme this time around is a reflection on aspects of my own personality taking on the form of a broken mirror, from my desire to do/be good or satiate my endless curiosity to my darker thoughts or my feelings of alienation, my gender fluidity, my anger and occasional feelings of emptiness, etc., etc. (Not everything's positive as I felt I would by lying to myself to not completely bare my soul upon the canvas.)
