Alton Illinois. October 10th, 2022.Heading to Chicago from St Louis, we decided (correctly) that it would be better to board the Amtrak train at the Alton station rather than deal with the traffic and confusion at the St louis station.
It as mostly empty at this stop, but it was full before we got to Springfield.
