Common Name: (The) Guardian
Coloration: Black fur, if male speckled with various colors from green to bright blue. Frills, which are actually lungs or pipes, are usually a bright color of some sort.
Features: The two horns on either side of it's snout are for decorative purposes for the most part and are rarely used in fighting. Upper teeth are exposed like that on an alligator. What look like frills on the back of its head are actually lungs/pipes which give of a low whistles sound that is unusually soothing, purpose is unknown though it might be to calm prey or mates. Habitat: Jungles or rain forests, rarely climbs tree and stays on the ground.
Behavior: Aggressive and solitary except for when it mates for life, despite its bulk it picks off weaken/injured animals or even scavenges dead ones. It's name sake comes from where it hunts which would be The Life Givers nesting grounds. Since the eggs of the life giver somehow restore health over time its the best place for this hunter to find weakened prey. When it has a mate they hunt together and can take on bigger and stronger prey.
Height and length: 3' to 3'5" in hieght and front nose to back end (not including the tail) up 5' in length.
Life span: If conditions are good up to 30 years.
