Aipom's tail ends in a hand-like appendage that can be cleverly manipulated. However, because the Pokémon uses its tail so much, its real hands have become rather clumsy.

About the Work!

It's no secret that Aipom and its evolution Ambipom are two of my favorite Pokémon, though it's been a while since I've done any proper artwork of either of them. So when I was going through some of my uncompleted Pokémon sketches, I came across this one of Aipom in a tree and decided to finish it.

If the Diamond and Pearl games get remade (like the newest remake rumors say they will) I'll be happy to train an Aipom/Ambipom again. I DO have one I use on X for battling in Reverse battles, but that's different from having one as a permanent team member. Or, if the success of the VC release of Red, Blue and Yellow makes Nintendo release Gold, Silver, and Crystal as well, I'll settle for training Aipom there.

I'm not saying anything about wanting Aipom in Pokémon Moon or Sun because I'm hoping that Nintendo will go the Black and White route with those games by only having new Pokémon available in the region until the game is beaten. I enjoyed that feature with Black and I'd like to see it again.
