Earlier this year, inspired by my Mom helping to clean out her mother's junk-filled home, I decided to start scanning several of my magazines in order to preserve anything I felt I'd want to retain in case something happened to the physical copies. I was able to get them scanned, but the stupid older scanner my family has just refused to work about 3/4 of the way through. I'm not proud to say that I lost my temper and may have physically attacked it...
Since Wally seems to be the guy I use to express my frustrations with technology, I figured I'd draw him struggling with a scanner. He's using one of the school's scanners, presumably for an assignment, and it's just refusing to work. It's just giving him an error message each time he tries to use it. It's gotten to the point where he's attacking the scanner over its refusal to work. Meanwhile, Mr. No Self-Esteem, Nail, is taking it as a good sign that the scanner doesn't just have a vendetta against him. The scanner hates all students equally.

(I don't imagine hitting scanners makes them work better, but with how skinny Wally is, he probably barely did anything to the scanner.)
