Back in middle school, I got a lab coat for my science classes. I've kept it since then, partly because I got it from my favorite science teacher, but mostly because I've been able to use it for cosplaying doctor characters. I'm not sure how often it's needed to be cleaned, since it hasn't been used for actual lab experiments in over a decade. But I assume it's been cleaned since then...I thought I'd draw Alex Jr. and Alice discussing lab coats. Alice constantly wears one, mostly because of her old job. Alex Jr., who's trying out a blazer to go with his vest & tie, feels that white's not a great color for lab coats. White's so easy to get messy, as any substance that isn't also white will not only show up, but be highlighted by the surrounding area being automatically lighter than the stain itself. Alice feels he may have a point.

(If there is a reason for white fabric being used, it's probably because it makes it more blatant when it does need to be cleaned)
