Last year, I drew the inklings of myself and some friends . While I've never played a Splatoon game, I am a sucker for character customization and make my own Inkling based on attire I liked from reading the Wiki. Along with that, last year was when Splatoon 3 debuted, and with it, my new favorite character in the series: Shiver. I just really like Shiver's design, possibly due to their peek-a-bang haircut, their blue color scheme, or their snarky-looking facial expressions. And yeah, I'm one of those people that headcanons Shiver as non-binary. I feel it makes sense, given the "3" theming of the game.I thought it would be cute to draw my Inkling crushing on Shiver. If xe's anything like me, xe probably also likes Shiver. In fact, xe probably really likes Shiver. Along with finding Shiver attractive, the two have a few shared interests, such as island gear & spicy food (and I don't think xe'd have any strong loyalties towards other options for other Splatfests and would be willing to fight for whichever team Shiver is supporting). Plus, they're also a talented musician, shark tamer, and is pretty persuasive. I can see why my Inkling would like them.
I used Shiver's manga appearance for reference, as well as the Chocolate Splatfest promo art , since I love Shiver's outfit in it.
