Normally, I don't like redrawing my own pictures. I feel it's creatively stagnant and I'd like to do something new instead. But considering the massive growth in both my own abilities and the designs of the featured characters, this felt justified to me.A few years ago, I drew Candy and Mario Jr. eating LOTSA SPAGHETTI! The drawing was a reference to the famous spaghetti kiss from Lady and the Tramp, and it seemed like a reasonable situation, considering Mario Jr.'s parentage. I thought I'd redraw the scenario using their current designs. Candy's gone from casual-regal to plain casual, while Mario Jr. has gone from casual to regal. Additionally, I now have a better grasp on proportions and shading. Plus, with drawing digitally, I'm better able to draw spaghetti with outlines. So Candy and Mario Jr. are enjoying spaghetti (that now looks more accurate to the scene I was referencing), looking better than ever before.
