"I'm awake..."
A growl erupted quietly as she shifted her body so his head dropped suddenly. The king smiled softly, how he loved her and her snappy attitude.
"Do we have to sit through this all day? I want to stretch my feet. Are you hearing this? No wonder you fell asleep. He saying one word every five seconds!"
Zola kept hissing complaints to her mate as the king moved slowly to rest his head against her side again.
"Are you falling asleep again? Hey! Old geezer I'm not here for you to sleep on!"

Just a really short and rough excerpt I wrote when I was drunk. In the image above is Princess Consort Zola and King Hodari, parents of Muffy and Scar. They look a little too like their cubs so I think I'll change a few things about that
Zola ans Hodari get married late in life. Hodari was about...60-70 in human and Zola 30-35.
