Sons of Tanglemane/Katili

Hakimu. Eldest & Heir/King
Hakimu was born between Katili and a princess from the Ndona’s high princess(Scar’s great aunt), Jabulile, along with with his four sisters Uchafu, Mataka, Ukoo, and Hawataki. Their mother perished during childbirth and was raised by on of their father’s concubines, Uangavu, who had been their mother’s sole friend. Raised along side Enzokuhle and Melokuhle, the three boys vowed to usurp their tyrannical father. At an early age, Hakimu recognized that his father despised him for being born to Jabulile, whom he hated for being betrothed to, and forced to be his heir. By the time Hakimu, Enzokuhle, and Melokuhle had mostly grown their manes they attacked their father when he was beating one of the females as an act of warning to the other lionesses for not bringing him a prey he desired. Convincing his brothers to spare their father, he took his role as king of the Mbala pride and his three of his four brothers decided to stay and act on his behalf on out-of-pride affairs and acted as a council when making decisions inside their pride.

Enzokuhle & Melokuhle, aka Enzo & Melo, council lions/ambassadors
Born to Uangavu, the two were raised with Hakimu and his sisters and were privileged to live a life of relative comfort as the king’s sons, despite being illegitimate. The two brothers were fraternal but their appearance were almost identical with only their colouring differing the two. By the time the boys and Hakimu grew small tufts of hair they had vowed to overthrow their father after seeing the constant abuse their pride suffered under his rule. When usurping their father, the two confused the older lion by attacking and acting as one lion on either side of him making Katili think he was only being attacked by two lions. After the battle both Enzo and Melo wanted to execute their father for his misdeed but were convinced the harsh and lonely life of a rogue would be more of a punishment for the old lion. Shoving Katili to the border of the, Enzo threatened to kill him if he ever came back to the pride while Melo, having calmed down from the adrenaline, wished his father to gain some wisdom from this and to pay his dues. Despite the three brothers taking the throne, the twins kept Hakimu as king and form a council with him and their younger brother when he came of age.

Kuende, council lion/ambassador
Born a season after Hakimu, Enzo, and Melo to a young lioness forced to be Katili’s new wife. Despite not fully knowing what his older brothers planned, he had an inkling that their father’s rule would end with Hakimu ascending the throne before his time. Kuende is a very curious lion and took it upon himself to learn everything he can about his pride, their alliances, the circle of life, other sorts of things in hope his brother would allow him to stay in the pride and act as an advisor. Luckily for him, Hakimu didn’t want to send any of his brothers away but instead form a small council to act as a group to rule their lands.

Tian, border patrol
The youngest of Katili’s sons and the only one of five to move away from his birth lands to go to the Ndona pride to live with his lover, Nanda, and become a border patrol. By the time his father was over throne his mane had only started to grow around his throat and was around the time he met his future wife when she and her father as well as her other sister in Uzima went to betroth her to Hakimu. Tian’s life is sadly cut short soon after the birth of his cubs when he meets his end when he mysteriously goes missing after the death of Mufasa and Simba.
