Description
I've been looking into trying out a more western cartoon style of drawing lately, as I had been recently inspired by the lovely LavenderTowne on YouTube. She has such an adorable style of drawing that it has got me really into doing very cartoonish and exaggerated characters and expressions. So far, this picture is a work in progress doing some digital art with that style, however, I don't really have any good programs that can do shading for this style very well (I'll be working on trying to figure something out for it). In the mean time, I decided to at least post my progress on it, as even the flat color art is pretty cute and quirky. I'm still working out proportions, but I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. As for the actual character, this is a character I am currently working on to create a Creepypasta story. The concept is that she is a 16-years-old Polish-American girl who was born mute and has a love for art. Because of her disability, she is often isolated, due to the communication barriers that form with a disability like that. Most either are polite to her or don't interact with her at all, though (of course) there are always bullies no matter where you go. After being the victim of one too many bullying instances, Anka comes across a strange looking sketchbook. She quickly figures out that this sketchbook is able to bring the drawings made within it's pages to life. However, this is no sweet, innocent magical sketchbook. A demon is what provides this sketchbook it's power, and it is under the encouragement of this demon that Anka begins to draw out the death of those around her.
I'm excited to get this concept fully fleshed out, but in the mean time: I'll probably be posting a lot of images of this lovely little blondie.
