Finally, I get to post something interesting!

So I started this back in February or March... It is a remake of the Windows Elements wallpapers I created back in 2010 and 2011. I think the original idea came from staring too long at the default Windows 7 wallpaper, haha. I decided to do it again because one, I love to revisit old drawings; and second... I'm surrounded by Linux-obsessed folks and I love to piss them off. HAHAHAHAHAHA

I'm really proud of it, even if there are parts I'm not completely sure about (the stars... I drew them, erased them, drew more, moved them around, made them brighter, made them dimmer... and I'm still not happy with the result). It was really fun to work on for the first two days, when I worked on most of the fire and water areas; afterwards I got bored and left it in the depths of my hard drive, until yesterday. HAHAHAHAHAHA The first parts are also my favorites, I followed some neat tutorials which I would link here if I wasn't too lazy to search them.

The yellow part was originally representing wind, but I changed it to light this time because it's easier to draw (and how do you draw air in motion anyways?). I'm not 100% happy with it either, and neither were my Linux-obsessed friends. xDDD

The plants... omg, the plants. So I decided to follow the same technique I used in the nature girl's background from the Superstar Girls Ultimate wallpaper . But there the plants are part of a barely visible background, and here they are a main asset. xD So it doesn't look that good... But at this point I was so tired and wanted to post this so bad that I left it as it was. I'm very perfeccionistic and I could spend the next year erasing and redrawing this over and over and still not be happy. xDDDD
It's good enough for not being a plant-drawing expert, I guess. HAHAHAHAHA

Aaaaand well, my favorite part of this picture has to be the water. I can't believe I managed to make it look like that.
