I love that it doesn't feel like a fractal at first glance.
Its hard to create a fractal image that has a mood and a genuine feeling to it, and I think you've done so perfectly.

I love the textures and colors of this, it makes me think of watercolor paintings, and it's very soothing to look at. It also makes me think of light streaming through the leaves of trees in a forest.

Wow, I'm really impressed to see an fractal this way, it look very mushroom-looking and cloudy.. very abstract.. How the clumps in the middle makes for smaller smalling masses of earth stepping up..

This fractal, being among your less impressive works technically (imho, of course), is quite interesting in that it really reflects the nature of fractals (or rather, the fractal-ness of nature).. It could be interpreted at various scales.. could be a sattalite photo of some islands or a coast, could be seen as rocks near a coast, could be an extremely zoomed in photo of a turtle's back, or a rock's surface, could be anything..

Been a while since i have seen ya post. Always glad to see more of your work. Although the layer of this is fairly straight forward equation wise it must have been very thrilling to see such light suddenly pop out been the layers. You can really feel the depth that the ambiant light is giving. Almost has an atmosphereic feel of Turner.

Such a beautiful blend of colors and shapes, I feel like I am watching from the sea as a new island is being formed. The earthy brown and black tones really go nicely with the reds and yellows. Very interesting flame!

2) a subterranean glowing fungus
3) overhead infared view of landscape
