In memory of my Minecraft ice dragon, Lynx

I play modded 1.12.2, mostly with Ice and Fire. It’s my favorite mod, and I play as a creative terraformer (I like to make fancy homes for my pets).

Around the holidays last year, one of my dragon’s home points reset. When she started flying, she didn’t stay near her roost. Unfortunately, I was dealing with my baby fire dragon, who almost burned down my home, and I didn’t notice until it was too late.

Lynx was my first dragon on this world, and still fairly young (28 days, had just learned to fly!). I searched on that world for two moons trying to find her. I always had hope, as I never received her death message.

Two moons after I lost her, I had searched everywhere I could. The only clue I ever found was a patch of dragon ice near my home, where I assume she hunted a sheep from the herd nearby.

I finally accepted it. She was gone.

Goodbye, Lynx. You’ve survived over 100 days now, and I know you’ll keep yourself safe. May you find good hunting, swift running, and shelter where you sleep.

Phoenix, Honey, and I will wait forever for you to come home.
