Jenson felt himself regain consciousness and fumbled to the floor to lift the metal ring. As he lifted it he felt numb all over. He felt as though he was moving awkwardly. As he lifted the ring above his slouched body, he felt the numbness spread to his mind until he felt little more than a passenger in his own body, although perhaps that wasn’t the best way to describe it now.

A beautiful young woman stood on the podium, in blue high heels and a loose green dress, her made up face framed by jet black hair. Randall felt himself become very sweaty, as a grin began to form on his face. He then beckoned the woman towards him. She stumbled back down from the podium and towards Randall.

“My my, you turned out very well” Randall spoke to the woman, who continued to stare blankly at him.

“I-uhm, terribly sorry, who are you again?” The woman asked Randall.

“I’m Randall, your boss.” Randall responded, before quickly adding, “You also live with me.”

“Y-yes, that… that sounds right. And who am I?” The woman said, sounding very confused.

“You’re Joslyn. Like I said, you work for me and stay at my place, but your dream is to become famous.”

Suddenly everything in what was once Jenson, now Joslyn’s brain, clicked. He was right, that was who she was. “Y-Yes, that’s it. Sorry Randall, that must’ve been a bit weird.”

“That’s quite alright, you must be tired, let’s get you home.” Randall said, guiding Joslyn out of the diner and to his car.
