Neptune, it is the 8th planet from the sun, a roman god of the sea, a city in New Jersey and now a kickin Winamp 3 skin!FINAL UPDATE - 10-1-2002! Final bug fixes. Previous button in Winshade mode now works correctly and other small fixes.
UPDATED - 9-18-2002! Added color themes! No more black spots for non XP/2000 users. Tidied up Winshade song ticker. Fixed many bugs. Give it another try!
Graphics & coding by RPETERCLARK. All components have been skinned, has two drawers for EQ and toggle buttons and a collapsable winshade mode.

wow, you just don't make skins that suck do you? I like the windowshade mode a lot, the way it slides open to reveal the buttons is salivatious (drools on self). another great skin.

I came to give Venus a fav and discovered your the pimp behind Neptune. This has been my default skin for a long time and i finaly get to give props to the creator. Wicked skin man, love the color scheme, especially subtle contrast between the green backgrounds, grey moulding and cream buttons. Very very well done and runs efficiently even in wmp5.

It's pretty good.
Not my favourite, but a nice skin anyway.
Would have been nice to see some colour themes that changed more than just the LCD

there is one bug in this skinyou havent fixed yet. when you click for playlist after loading the skin, the playlist is blank. you to reselect what playlist youwant.. but overall it looks great

First of all , I give 9 / 10 for this skin.
reasons :
1) Clear display of track time.
2) Clear display of track name.
3) Winshade mode is slim, almost all functions accessible via clicking.
I was using the "luna bar" skin, coz it displays track name, track time and it's slim, coz I'm on IRC alot, so the bar won't get in the way.
With your skin....i can winshade mode it, when i irc, And bring it back to full when I just want a player that's stylish and yet functional to look at.
I tried the "Symbiotica" skin. It fun to play with, the "legs" extension function, the "sleep mode" function ( good idea). But I still choose Neptune over it because of the above reasons.
Thank you for this piece of "stylish" and yet "Functional" skin. I truly like it. I hope to see your next skin soon.

Ran amuck through the winamp forums and finally found the solution
You turn off the UTF8 Internationalisation - close Winamp to save it as a preference - then when u restart Winamp u get to keep the skin
You're skin is now my default albeit in the sexy winshaded mode.

robc, sorry to hear you are having problems with my skin. Actually, I was told by someone experiencing the same problem as you that this skin specifically *didn't* crash thier Winamp ([link] towards the bottom), so I'm not sure what to tell you. Some people have had success by closing Winamp and deleting studio.xnf from it's program directory. Maybe it will help you.

Even though I hate almost ALL roundish wa3 skins.. This one is still great--very clean, and smooth looking; also, great choice in colors.

I agree - great skin but suffers from the same problem a ton of WA3 skins suffer from... It crashes Winamp when u close it and that stops it remaining the default skin when u start up Winamp again. I'm told this is a coding problem related to the skin itself.
Please fix it - i wanna keep this one without constantly re-selecting it.

keep this winamp3 only, ms can get ......, wmp sucks. Onto the skin: wicked work I love this one. Colour presets are needed. Nice.

Hey razamatan, I've been giving serious thought to porting this over to WMP. I started this skin before the latest WMP beta came out, and I have to admit, I'm a convert. Winamp 3 is still buggy and slow, and now WMP 9 looks like it's ready to kick some ass. Give me some time and I'm sure you'll find a WMP version soon...

dude!! this rocks.. very clean...
i want this as my wmp8/xp skin... u wanna code it up, or will you loan me the resources (psd's, graphix) for me to port it...
of course, mucho props and credits when it comes out...
but of note.... wmp8 really doesn't do alpha blending (i think that's it) to make the fade action at the borders...
