Living since the age of 8 without her left leg had given Mary Anne lots of time to perfect the skills needed to be an efficient and effective amputee. She had also matured into an intelligent, confident, unabashed, active and fit one legged Goddess. Ever playful, she enjoys attracting attention at places like a fast food dining room where she will take a seat next to the condiment and beverage station to stash her crutches and from where she gets me to take pictures of her that some may find unbelievable. All I can say to those folks is, “eat your hearts out.”
