When Jane lost her right leg, she was single, a newly minted Master of Fine Arts and had just begun working at MacKinley Estate Auctions, the most respected art dealer in Western Cascadia. In her earliest days as an amputee, she had correctly reasoned that two legs were not needed to create, see, appraise, market and appreciate fine art and fine things. Only 6 weeks after her surgery she resumed her job and in the 2 ½ years since then, she has gained enough respect for her abilities that she is now managing some of the company’s most influential Clients. This photo was taken last Spring at the Sanderson Estate on Gasterbury Island where she was helping create the family plan for acquisitions over the next 5 years.
