Description Some extinct West Indian parrots: Guadeloupe Amazon (Amazona violacea) in top left, Martinique Amazon (Amazona martinicana) in top right, Turks and Caicos Amazon (Amazona sp.) in lower left and Montserrat Amazon (Amazona sp.) in lower right.

This is the way I interpreted the descriptions for the two species on top, back in the time. The undescribed species are know only from subfossil remains, with the coloration presented here being pure speculation.

These parrot drawings are relatively old, dating back from 2006 (Guadeloupe Amazon) and 2007.

Watercolor pencils on A4 paper.

Nice use of colour and anatomical structure on these birds and your other animal illustrations. But they could use a little more work on their lights and shadows to help give the illusion of a 3D shape to their structure. Perhaps try some grey scale drawings and concentrating on where the shadows and highlights are on their overall form But most importantly, keep drawing!
