We may need to break them up to fit into the book, or at least fit to the format.

RSNascimento In reply to JohnFaa [2009-07-22 19:57:27 +0000 UTC]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JohnFaa In reply to RSNascimento [2009-07-22 21:02:44 +0000 UTC]

This is amazing, with all the different types of extinct macaws, though I think the 8th and 9th are probably either subspecies of or introduced Scarlet and Green-Winged Macaws. I love parrots, and it's a shame that so many became extinct.

Wow, this is really fantastic! Would you mind if I print it?
I work at a parrot refuge with about 5000 parrots and I already have posters with all living species... so this is just really nice. I remember I saw the stuffed ara tricolor a few years back, when I was little. Last time when I went back to the museum (Naturalis, Leiden), the room with extinct animals was under construction. If you ever visit the Netherlands, make sure you visit the place.
I love your entire gallery by the way, so you're on my watchlist now.

RSNascimento In reply to Henrieke [2007-06-16 17:45:53 +0000 UTC]

Thank you!
You may print it, but without changes (mainly keeping my name) and just for your personal use, no comercial.
Yes, I know the Naturalis museum from its website, and looks it have an wonderfull collection, certainly I would visit it if I visit the Netherlands.
Your gallery is also amazing, I must watchback!

also, for all the times you used "became extinct probably [during so-and-so time]," it might sound better as "probably became extinct" but it is still correct either way, I think.

really wonderful artwork! I love macaws and other parrots... I have three at home
the glaucous macaw looks so much like the hyacinth macaw, it is uncanny
did you draw the maps as well?
are you accepting English grammar/spelling critique, or should I hold off?

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

RSNascimento In reply to meihua [2007-06-07 18:22:29 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! I love them too! I also have three psittacids here, of two species.
Well, it's was verty similar to the hyacinth macaw, but was smaller and have broader yellow patch in the face. I saw grey in it's head in stuffed specimens, but I'm not sure about it colouration when alive, so the image of the species may change in my collection.
Oh, please critique my English! I really must improve it, and any help is welcome.

little-al In reply to RSNascimento [2007-06-18 03:09:35 +0000 UTC]

RSNascimento In reply to little-al [2007-06-23 19:33:29 +0000 UTC]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

little-al In reply to RSNascimento [2007-06-25 07:01:38 +0000 UTC]

RSNascimento In reply to little-al [2007-06-30 17:48:17 +0000 UTC]
