Description
This beautiful snow leopard was constantly pacing her enclosure, like many big cats do in zoos.
She was alone, but the zoo have a male lined up to join her in the hope of cubs in the next few months. She was also yowling a lot, we (as zoo biology students) suggested she was sexually frustrated.
The tiger, who had just come on heat, was making similar noises, so we think we were probably right, poor girl!
