Description This is a screenshot that I took in SpaceEngine. It uses an addon that adds trees. (The addon is not my work, but someone else's). The lower temperature of the main sequence red dwarf star that the planet is orbiting results in the sky and clouds having warmer tones (more red/orange than blue) for the sky, clouds, ground, and trees. This is a truly gorgeous scene that shows that red dwarf stars are not an ugly shade of red, but rather have an orangish color. For comparison, most red dwarf stars have temperatures comparable to an incandescent lightbulb, and thus the apparent color of a red dwarf star will be yellowish-orange rather than red.

M-class Main Sequence stars (also known as red dwarf stars) are surprisingly decent abodes for life when one considers the fact that most superflares are pointed polewards of the star, meaning that the worst flares will likely avoid planets. Still, the stellar winds are more intense for a planet in the habitable zone of an M-class Main Sequence star than it would be for a planet orbiting a warmer class of star.
