Moments later, a wave of intense thermal energy coursed through the area, scorching everything in its path. Shielding its guardian, the young Metroid hatchling was trying to absorb the energy. But it was too much, and the hatchling was overtaken.

Nearby, the SA-X was knocked backwards. It exploded as it hit the wall, pieces of itself flying everywhere.

Ridley, though logic would have suggested differently, was rushing hurriedly to the explosion's center. He had seen this technique once before, and charged at his longtime foe to stop it. Clearly, however, he realized too late what was happening.

And, at the center of the explosion, Samus Aran was curled into a ball. The explosion violently tore her Power Suit to pieces. It would take a lot of power to so easily shred the Suit, but, clearly, there is a lot of power behind an explosion created by the energy of ten missiles, ten super missiles, and eleven power bombs.
